Everyone is on "island time" here. Visited: October 2007 |

The staff is wonderful. Speed is a bit slow, but predictably so. Hence, island time.
Food is average, but not bad. They have very friendly staff. Do not be in a hurry, or you will be disapointed. I suspect that is the speed throughout the islands.
I do recommend! |

You need to come to this hotel. It's a great choice. I don't know what all these other people who have written reviews are talking about. |

I found this to be a bad accommodation with poor staff. Visited: October 2005 |

There was no water available during our stay. I know it was not the hotel's fault, but the staff was completely unconcerned and unsympathetic.
We had to switch the air conditioning off because it was making banging noises and spitting water over the bed. Also, the food and drinks were at New Yourk prices!
This was not a convenient location for doing anything in Road Town (other than picking up a boat). Even so, there were better value places to stay - even if you are picking up a boat from the Moorings the next day. |

The staff and accommodations were charming, but the cuisine needs work. Visited: August 2005 |

I enjoyed my days and nights spent at the Inn.
I found that both staff and facilities were pleasant. I especially enjoyed my time spent at the bar. I met staff members who were eager to please in every way they could. I appreciated my time spent here and the wonderful service I received. |

It was a great, casual, yacht-facing property. But the food was not exceptional Visited: March 2005 |

The Mariner Inn has faded a bit over the last ten years, but still boasts the best location for true sailors in Roadtown.
The rooms are sparking clean and the beds are adequate, but the views are spectacular. Ask for room #25-28 and you will be on the ground floor facing 200 newer yachts from the fleet. Keep the sliding glass doors closed when you feed the chickens, they get a might bold because they are so friendly.
Use the restaurant for coffee, breakfast and lunch at the poolside bar. Stay away from the so-called BBQ grill at night! Poor quality food and an unfriendly, aggressive chef with a broken-down grill make this an unpleasant, if not irritating experience. They should hear about this from others soon.
I love The Moorings and would never stay anywhere else, but The Mariner Inn needs an upgrade and a facelift. That's what happens when you outsource!

We were disappointed in the hotel and thought it was too expensive for what it offered. |

This is a fine pre- or post-sailing land hotel. Visited: April 2003 |

This is a good place to stay if you are about to sail and need a night on land. The rooms are clean and next to the Moorings and Footloose boats.
This is not a place to stay for more than a night because there is no beach, charm, etc. It is solid for what it is, but not as nice as some of the other Moorings hotels. |

Stay here before sailing only. Visited: November 1999 |

The Mariner is a sailing hotel. It is a nice convenient location the night before you go sailing for a week - or when you return. It is not for a full vacation stay. You will be disappointed if you do.
Try the Long Bay Resort for the best beach and location. |
