| Prebooked 3 nights. Apon arrival told no restaurant. Get to our room by walking by many chickens running around unkept grounds. Walk up rusty staircase to find our room with no lights, lamps, rusty sink, toilet, tub. Switch rooms....use all beach towles packed to cover bed need sleep and no where else to go. People very rude and not helpful. Best thing, internet, next ferry to St. Thomas Bolongo Bay | |

It was a great time of year. Visited: November 2009 |

| We came to Tortola in mid-November just before high season began and found it to be a great time to be in BVI. The crowds weren't quite as big and, outside a bit of rain, the weather was ideal. Our Villa sat up on a hillside with a great view of the sea and surrounding isles. We especially enjoyed trips to Smuggler's Cove, Jost, Frenchman's Cay/Jolly Roger's and fishing off the north shore of Virgin Gorda. I would definitely recommend BVI and Diamante to anyone looking for a relaxing place to go, but enough to do if you don't just want to sit on the beach all day. |

| Although the food was wonderful, the accommodations are awful. There was no running water for three days. We finally had to bath in the pool. Management wouldn't change our rooms or give us any money back. |

| We spent two weeks at the Captain's House and loved every minute of it. It is comfortable, clean, and the views are outstanding. We learned how to drive the roads on the first day (Jerry's Car rental was great), and loved being located at that end of Tortola. Never rent without a pool, it's definitely a must. I had to relearn how to use a charcoal BBQ, but that was fine too after day two. Having a working Internet connection was really helpful as well. We will definitely return to the Captain's House, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great vacation! |

Elm Villa is a fantastic find. |
|

| We rented Elm Villa for a week this summer. We loved it and give it top marks all around. The full time housekeeper, Mariel, lives in a separate basement apartment and has a big impact to the overall experience. We had hours of extra free time because Mariel was looking after the household for us. As a result, you have more of a five-star hotel experience than a rental experience. The villa itself is beautiful. It is not your typical rental; over used and full of mismatched furniture. This is a vacation home of a wealthy family and it shows. It is tastefully decorated, and meticulously maintained. Perched on aptly named Windy Hill, high above Cane Garden Bay, the Villa offers spectacular views of both the Bay and Jost Van Dyke. The layout and furnishings give it the feel of a classic 19th century British Colonial outpost, perfectly attuned to its Caribbean location. With the house opened up, the high location affords a wonderful breeze that blows through the rooms keeping all cool within a simply wonderful indoor/outdoor living space overlooking some of the most spectacular scenery and tropical foliage you will find anyplace on earth. The pool deck and grounds are lovely, professionally landscaped and once again of five-star hotel quality; and child safe. There are also loads children's toys, books and videos available in the villa for use. If you have young children, this Villa is the one for you. If you don't, this is a fantastic house for adults, just the same. Elm Villa far exceeded our expectations and gets our very highest recommendation. |

It was an incredible experience - relaxation, privacy and romance. Visited: July 2009 |

| The beauty of the Canefield House cannot be captured by a photo. As soon as you walk down the steps, you are surrounded by wondrous vegetation, much of which bears fruit that can be picked on request. The palms open onto a gorgeous view of Brewer's Bay with the reef and distant islands visible in the sunlight. Inside you have an incredible common space with a wonderful open kitchen. The bedrooms are separated from the main house, which makes privacy an easy thing to get no matter how you travel. A stay here is highly recommended! |

| Two adult friends, my 22-year-old son and I vacationed in the BVI and stayed at Summer Heights. We could not have had a better place to stay. The villa was outstanding and clean. The owners were friendly, too. Their recommendations were right on. They were able to not only get us power boat for the day, but a very knowledgeable young captain. I highly recommend Summer Heights. Good luck! |

Best place to stay on Tortola Visited: August 2009 |
|

| The Frenchmans Villa resort is simply the best place to stay on Tortola. The accommodations are outstanding (we stayed in Mango - 2 bedroom wtih our two teenagers) and the quality and thoughtfulness of the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms were outstanding. Ashleigh and Michelle provided us with anything and everything we wanted (from reliable Taxi's to pick us up from our BVI charter or recommendations to restaurants/things to do...they were both outstanding and most importantly knowledgable about Tortola). The property is phenomenal and the views are tremendous. We snorkled around the point and used the pool/tennis courts quite a bit. The service and location of this resort is 5-star all the way. We have rented villas/houses from Colorado to the Outer Banks and this is the nicest place we have ever stayed at...the website photos are exactly what you will find in this secluded yet family friendly resort. If your looking for a romantic villa or a family get together this is perfect. The villas are laid out so nicely (you really cannot see the other villas) and are very secluded. | |

| Summer Heights is a beautiful residence. The rooms were all very clean with large comfortable king sized beds and an amazing view of the ocean. The pool is great and the outside dining area made for cozy BBQ dinners in the evening. We had a wonderful time! | |

| What a wonderful villa for families with young children. We have a two- and four-year-old, and this villa was just perfect - a very children friendly house. The views were amazing. We could see both the Atlantic and the Caribbean from the dining room. It was very private and peaceful - an almost Zen quality. We hope to go back next year! |

| This place truly made the vacation. We were there for 7 nights (8 days) and the owners are very hospitable and extremely helpful with suggestions on where to go and what to do. The rooms were all very large, comfortable and clean, and the kitchen/living room/dining area accommodated all 9 of us easily. It was a very enjoyable stay, I would absolutely love to go back! |

Amazing villa. Couldn't have picked a better place. Visited: May 2009 |

| We had the opportunity to spend a week at Summer Heights. We could not have chosen a better place. The villa is warm and inviting, and Barry and Roz are great hosts. The villa is located up on a hill with unobstructed views of the ocean and surrounding islands. The pictures really don't do the place justice. The views were simply breathtaking. The house is quiet and the only thing you hear is the gentle ocean. It is also a short drive away from some of the best beaches in Tortola and the town center. Each of the bedrooms also had an incredible view. The rooms also had nice comfortable beds, clean linens, and their own private bathrooms. This made it really easy for our party of 9. This house is very, very clean. I'm quite particular about cleanliness and it met my expectations. There is a big kitchen with everything necessary to cook a nice meal and a great table outside to enjoy it on. The pool was great to relax in after a day of running around. We felt completely at home. Both Barry and Roz were very helpful. They went out of their way to make sure that we had a enjoyable stay. Roz even called to check on our car rental and to ensure that we had reserved a suitable car. We would really recommend Summer Heights to anyone visiting BVI and hope to visit again soon. |

Wow!!! What a view! Visited: May 2009 |

| After an adventurous ride up the mountain, we fell in love with the place as soon as we opened the front gate. It was so big, luxurious, clean, and the view is so incredible - you have a panoramic view of the opposing island line with perfectly blue water. The house has everything too, from board games, novels, videos/dvds to float/beach balls for the pool. There are new things to discover in every cabinet, drawer, and shelf. We spent quite a few evenings enjoying our home cooked dinners, chatting on the patio tables, then retreating indoors for a movie. And the plush king beds are just perfect for luring us to sleep after a full day at the beach. |

It was a beautiful place with not so beautiful people. |

| I just got back from Tortola. You will have a wonderful time on Tortola - we did. The beaches and water were beautiful, but you should take that as a given. What I want to review here is my experience with the people. Everywhere I went in Tortola I felt safe. So you don't have to worry about that. However, I don't think I met a single friendly local person. If we met a friendly person, when we asked where they were from, they were from somewhere else. This can be summed up by the fact that they automatically included 15-18% gratuity on any meal you eat out. Here is what I figure happened here - I believe customers weren't tipping well because, quite frankly, the service from locals was terrible. They were simply rude, and seemed to serve with an air of resentment. So, rather than trying to "earn" tips by being polite and doing a good job, they decided to keep doing a bad job and just tack on the tips automatically. Try out some Sebastian's Rum, you'll love it. I had it for every meal. |

| The pictures don't do this villa justice. Everything was perfect from the great breezes to playing 9 ball at 3 in the morning. The views are out of this world. The kitchen was perfect and the grill works well(we brought our own meat). Lyn, who looks after the house was very nice and her dogs would stop by each day and say hello. The road up is no big deal as long as you have 4 wheel drive. I highly recommend this villa. |

| We recently returned from a stay at the Castle Maria and a charter with Sunsail. The Castle Maria was a clean and well maintained hotel at which to stay. It was not an Americanized five-tar hotel, but it was a great "local style" hotel. Also, the staff was great! They were there to make our stay enjoyable and they did just that! |
