Great place to go diving, with a wonderful dive support team. Visited: July 2001 |

I've gone to Pirate’s Point for two years in a row and recommend it if you love to dive and relax. Gladys is warm and does all that she can to make everyone feel at home.
The food is the best I've had at a “food-included resort.” However, if you don't dive this can be a difficult vacation because there really isn't any other form of recreation unless you bicycle around the island. In the summer (when I've gone to Pirate’s Point), it has been hot and humid) and without a doubt there are an abundance of biting bugs at night, so don't hold back on the repellent.
The cottages are comfortable and four are air conditioned. My personal favorites are in the D complex. They are large and airy with that great ocean sound.
Again let me say that the diving team is fabulous. If you are a beginner or have recently been certified, ask for Martha to give you a refresher. She is a natural diver and teacher. You will love every minute. And the views below are spectacular. The only thing I hated about my last dive vacation there was the trip home. It’s a hard routine to leave: eat breakfast, dive 2 dives, eat lunch, sleep in one of the Pawley’s Island hammocks, eat dinner and go to bed. Next day, do it all over again. This is a wonderful vacation.
