It was paradise! Visited: August 2007 Posted by dking Aqua Bay Club was a true paradise away from home. The property was absolutely beautiful. Unit #5 had a great island feel, and to walk out the door and have nothing between you and the beach but the pool was amazing. Also, Deena was so pleasant and helpful (as was the rest of the staff). Visited: July 2007 Posted by aadoug Our family of four stayed in one of the two-bath, two-bedroom condos at Aqua Bay. The condo was spotless for our arrival, and had plenty of room for the four of us. All of the condos overlooked the pool and beach, and had wonderful large screened-in porches. The grounds, pool, and beach area were spotless, and cleaned every day. The friendly housekeeping staff delivered fresh towels, and cleaned the condo every day, also. Deena, the manager, was extremely helpful. She arranged snorkeling excursions, and recommended places to eat. We did not rent a car, as the bus worked well for us. There was a grocery store within a five- to ten-minute walk. Since it was the low season, we pretty much had the beach and pool to ourselves. There was great snorkeling right in front of the condo. We would definitely return to Aqua Bay Club. Visited: May 2007 Posted by numerouno May was a quiet time, and the weather was fine. Our family of five, with three young adults, was very comfortable in a two-bedroom, two-bath condo right on the beach. The staff was very pleasant and ready to help with any concerns or questions about Grand Cayman. Also, the property was clean and well kept with a nice beach front. It was a great location on Seven Mile Beach away from the hotels. Nearby snorkeling could be found at Cemetery Beach. We could also get to Eden Rock in town and Turtle Bay nearby. We ate in most nights, but would recommend Fosters back toward town. It is newer, and has more variety than the local one up the street. Car rental is a must. We used Andy’s, and received good service. Rum point is an outing, but not required. However, you must drive out along the beaches past the light house restaurant. The property itself was lovely, and we had a large screened in porch overlooking the Caribbean. The pool was also the perfect size and well kept. I loved the location as it was away from all the hubbub of the major hotels. I am going back in January and will stay here again. Visited: November 2003 Posted by ericj7777 Aqua Bay Club was a great place to stay while visiting Grand Cayman. The condo was nicely decorated with daily maid service. Our kitchen was well equipped with cooking supplies, although most of our meals in the condo were relatively simple. Groceries were nearby, as were several great restaurants. We highly recommend Papagallos restaurant! If you stay at Aqua Bay you will need to rent a car as you will not be within walking distance of groceries or restaurants. But if you rent a car, you will find its location ideal. If you plan on snorkeling, you will need to take your own equipment so you can economically explore the reefs around the island. The beach was pretty nice at the condo, except the sand dropped off about five feet from the beach chair to the water...apparently from erosion. Also, the walk into the water was potentially unpleasant with a rocky ocean-bottom going out at least 30 feet into the water. You can avoid the rocks by walking up or down the beach to the next property on either side. I have heard people say the beach on the north side (at Aqua Bay) is in better shape than at the larger resorts to the south. These beach comments are the only reason Aqua Bay was demoted from five stars in my opinion. One more tip - the grocery store is closed on Sunday. We did not plan ahead and had to resort to Subway sandwiches. We spent most of our time driving around the island and snorkeling. Visited: May 2002 Posted by prtauber Aqua Bay Club is what we call our paradise in paradise. We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding and honeymoon. We were married right on the beach under a palm tree in front of our condo and our warm and fantastic memories will last a lifetime! The atmosphere of the resort and the friendliness of the staff helped made the most special time of our lives even more incredible. It was our pure location for peace and quiet, incredible snorkeling, immaculate beach, exquisite sunsets, and it was convenient to everything. Also, our condo was completely glorious and comfortable. Visited: April 2001 Posted by pbevins The accommodations were excellent. The view from our 3rd floor screened porch was magnificent. We snorkeled on Cemetery Reef and played with the fish. The condo was just far enough away from the main area on 7-Mile Beach to be very peaceful, but we also felt very close to everything. We could not have asked for a better place to spend our honeymoon! The most unstressful vacation ever! Visited: January 2000 Posted by joanne I am a travel agent that was looking for a family vacation (children 6 & 7) that would offer us the freedom of moving at our own pace. Forget Disney and the action-packed adventures, we needed a restful week of lounging. That what we got! The accommodations where luxurous, fresh, new and delightful. The ease of walking out from your closed in back porch and walking ten feet to the pool and another five to the beach was wonderful. I would recommend a ground floor unit for convience. The grocery stores and resturants are very close to the Aqua Bay Club. Food prices were not high and the activity for a family was more than we needed. A day visit to the Trutle Farm. An afternoon snorkling adventure with the stingrays made the vacation more memorable. We even purchased our own snorkeling equipment to snorkel off the Vila Beach. There were no crowds and no hassles making it stress free. This was the best vacation I ever had and coming from a travel agent, that means a lot. It was a dream trip come true to do nothing but go from bed to pool to beach to eat to sleep. All day long!
