This is probably one of the nicest and reasonably priced resorts on the island. Everyone there is nice and makes sure that guests get what ever they want.

We will definitely come back here again.

4.0 stars This is a nice resort, but not on a beach. Visited: April 2004

We stayed in the studio unit and we were disappointed that it only had a microwave and small refrigerator. We were expecting cooking facilities as well.

The room was nice with a great large bathroom, but the walls were so thin that we could hear our neighbors' conversations. This resort was a mile and a half off of the main road, so we really would have needed a car. There was a shuttle, but it had limited service.

We were happy with our stay, but wouldn't stay here again given the other choices on Seven Mile Beach that were just as nice and on a real beach - plus close to everything.

Also, the hot tub looked filthy and then was closed for the duration of our stay. There was a big sandy area with chairs and hammocks, but there was no beach to speak of on this windy side of the lagoon. There was only a pier and lots of rocky shoreline.

If you're a golfer, you will enjoy being right next to the course, though.

One thing that really bothered me was that they were very strict on checking out at 11:00 am. They wouldn't even let us have an extra hour since our tour wouldn't be back until 11:00.

There was some nightly entertainment in the evenings and also a set dinner menu which we never did because it was more expensive than going to one of the nice restaurants.

We had a great time at this resort. It was two miles from Seven Mile Beach, but we had a car. We had a very relaxing vacation since this resort was a little off the Seven Mile Beach path, but it was close enough for anything we needed. We had a nice two-bedroom for six with plenty of room and modern amenities.

3.0 stars No swimming offshore and service was as slow as a "Tortuga". Visited: July 2002

We were informed that we could swim "right off the pier", but when we got there they didn't recommend. After looking, I wouldn't have even tried.

I believe it was families of the employees that were sitting around the tables outside of the restaurant quite often. Because of that, some staff seemed more interested in visiting with them than waiting on the tables.

Upon arrival, we sat and watched as the person I assumed was the manager went in search for a rack to bring in our travel gear. After about 15 minutes in the hot sun he came out and gave it to someone else as we stood there watching. After we complained, someone was “kind” enough to send a worker with a dirty laundry hamper on wheels to bring in our things, which we declined.

The rooms were clean and very nice in decor and whoever cleaned our rooms everyday did a very good job. The grounds were raked every morning and the men doing that were very friendly. We had to ask for chairs so that we could sit out on our balcony.

We can't comment on the food since we couldn't get waited on the one time we decided to venture to the patio. We also can't say that we would return.

5.0 stars Great view, room, and people. Visited: July 2002

I came to the Grand Caymanian because Don Foster had the scuba shop here. I was not disappointed.

My room was lovely with a beautiful view of the sunrise on the ocean. The pool was great, as were my meals at the restaurant. Lobster night was incredible! All the people were so friendly and fun. The dives and dive people were the best. I'll be back next year.

In one word, INCREDIBLE! We took 2 teenage boys here for one week. Anyone with teenagers will understand what a challenge that can be. We were very concerned that they would be bored. We rented a 2-bedroom, which was a 1-bedroom suite with an additional 1 studio that could be locked off. The boys could come and go as they wished without disturbing us at night. They had a blast.

The resort is still under construction so it is small, but the staff still did a great job of keeping us busy. The resort if very clean and the construction is kept out of sight. The staff really went out of their way to make sure that we had a great time. The resort is away from all the hustle and bustle of the main drag, yet you have access to it if you want, using the hotel’s complimentary shuttle. Honestly, with the exception of going to the store and visiting 7-Mile Beach (so you can say that you did) there is no reason to leave the resort.

They bring everything to you. The snorkeling off the beach in front of the resort is the best on the island. They have cookouts, organized volleyball games, watersports, arts and crafts etc., etc. For those who just wanted to relax, there are hammocks all over the beach to curl up in and read. I have never had such a relaxing vacation and surprisingly enough, the boys said the same thing. They had a blast!

We were so impressed with the resort and the staff that we purchased a unit there so we could return every year.

4.0 stars Beautiful and quiet Visited: April 2001

This resort is very nice with a pool, bar, restaurant, very accommodating people.

The resort is clean and small at this point, which is so unusual and appealing for Grand Cayman because it’s a small island with lots of resorts and people! This resort is tucked away in the bay on the North Sound. The stingrays are just off the mainland and the waters are beautiful.

We stayed a week in a one bedroom and enjoyed it very much. Cayman is expensive though, so plan on losing 20 cents on your American dollar when you step off of the plane.
