This is a lovely hotel with wonderful staff. Visited: May 2003 Posted by smithmk127 I am a second time return visitor to Cuba. The first time, I stayed at Breezes Varadero. When we first arrived at Palma Real, we were not quite sure. It turned out to be a great place. I don't know if they had new chef, but the food was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would suggest you make inquiries about Compasita and the Med Bar. Alexi, on the entertainments team, will help with that. Would I return to Hotel Hotetur Palma Real? Visited: April 2003 Posted by diep I took my first trip to Varadero, Cuba and stayed at the Hotetur Palma Real Hotel. I had a great stay. The staff was extremely friendly. The food was quite good: typical Cuban meals were served alongside Occidental and Chinese food. The variety of desserts was just amazing. The rooms were very cute, with private balconies, nice colors and were irreproachably clean. There was also animation at the hotel (shows at night, sports and classes - spanish, dance, etc) during the day. If you did not wish to participate in those activities, you could also easily escape. The clientele seemed to be mostly composed of Canadian, French, English and Spanish people. The only minus was the location of the hotel: it was not located right on the beach, but it was only a five-minute walk away from the beach. It was also the most amazing beach I had ever seen in my life - a real postcard beach. I highly recommend this hotel. It was not the most expensive hotel. Visited: February 2003 Posted by pdplante We traveled to Varadero for one week and had a wonderful time. But the morning we were supposed to leave, the plane had a problem with its front door and could not leave so we had an extra day! They brought us (all 515 passengers) to this hotel, Palma Real. It was a very nice of this hotel to take us all in order and very fast procedure. Still, I was wondering why they had so much room for 515 extra people. The hotel is okay, the staff is friendly but the food was terrible! I eat anything, but I had a plate of spaghetti with butter on it! I did not want to risk anything else. This is the one and only negative point I bring. A nice hotel with a relaxed atmosphere. Visited: April 2002 Posted by abn Everything was excellent! The staff was very nice. This was a modern hotel, and it was very clean. There was a separate place, besides the main dining hall, where guests could order pizza, Italian food, etc. - all day! It was all-inclusive, and it was very cool!
