A: Travelers headed to Curacao can get there by airplane or boat. Currently, American Airlines has the most extensive service, with 11 weekly flights to the island out of Miami. Continental recently started direct flight service to Curacao from Newark, operating one flight per week. The cheapest flights are available in the early December shoulder season, as well as the summer low season. As a general rule, airfare is highest "whenever it's cold in the Northeast" United States, with additional spikes for holidays and school vacations. Expect to pay around $400 to $700 round-trip in the low season, with an additional $100 or more for peak travel times.
