Trupial Inn is good, but not one of the best. Visited: August 2006 |

My family and I stayed at Trupial Inn for four nights and five days. We were given a bungalow at the back of the inn.
The two rooms were lovely, and came equipped with a working television and air conditioning in each. The bathroom was clean, and the beds were spacious and comfortable.
However, on the fourth day of our stay, the receptionist told us that we were required to move to another room immediately, and that she would send someone over to help us with our luggage.
We asked the reason for the move many times, but were never given an answer. It was very tiring to pack all our belongings after spending an entire day in town. We waited for over half hour, and had to call the front desk twice for the 'luggage helper' to arrive. We ended up holding half of our bags in our hands, as the trolley was small. To make matters worse, the room was on the other side of the inn, making the trek excruciating.
I must say, though, the staff was very helpful and aided in getting us taxis to travel around the island. They were also generous when giving information on tours and things.
The restaurant was neat, and the food was delicious, although the prices were a bit high. However, at certain palces in the restaurant, your meal can be affected by the high winds and my drink was knocked over and the dust was high.
Also at night, during dinner, live entertainment was sometimes provided which could prove to be a distraction to some guests whose bungalows were located near to the restaurant.
The waiters were very friendly, and were patient with customers not familiar with the meals listed on the menu, as they willingly explained what each meal consisted of.
The environment around the inn was clean, and there were several beautiful flowers and trees to add to the vibrant atmosphere.
Curacao, on the whole, was one of the best places I have ever visited, as the locals were friendly, and the activities were never ending. |

I have stayed here about five or six times over the last three years. I have seen them go through their complete renovation and am impressed with the quality of the work, and the end result.
The place is really cozy, with beautiful tropical colors, neat buildings, an awesome restaurant, food, and a nice pool area with all the amenities you need to forget about life in the rat race.
The rooms are very comfortable and roomy. The staff is very friendly. If I ever need anything, all I have to do is ask and it is there.
I definitely intend to go back and refer friends and family. |

I had a great time at Trupial Inn. The staff was really friendly and very helpful. There was a nice tropical atmosphere.
The hotel was very well located and close to everything. However, I do recommend to rent a car, as shops, beaches and other activities were spread out around the island.
The local lunch was the best!

Better go to the casino, no luck with service at the Trupial Visited: November 2001 |

I must say I was very disappointed with the service and cleanliness. I have no plans of recommending the hotel or coming back in future.
Specifically, I found three cockroaches in the room during my stay as well as someone elses hair in the bathroom. I requested a wake-up call for the first morning of my stay and didn´t get one.
The front desk staff appeared unmotivated and ill informed about basic things and
apparently lack basic support for simple tasks such as changing a US$ bill
into smaller change.
During my last night, I was awakened by a car alarm that went off and lasted
for about 45 minutes. This is probably beyond the control of the hotel
staff, except that in the two occasions I went out to see if someone was
as perplexed as me, and found two security personnel standing by with the car owners apparently doing nothing and caring less.
I am a fan of good service. Rarely do I let good experiences go unnoticed. Unfortunately, no such luck at the Trupial Inn.
