Description
Springfield Plantation Guesthouse is a large early 20th century plantation overlooking the Caribbean. The Springfield Plantation is located 2000 ft. above sea level and is 25 minutes from the capitol, Roseau, and Canefield Airport and has housed island visitors since the early 1920s.
The John D. Archbold Tropical Research Center (ATRC) is located on the site. The Center is located on the "old" Springfield Plantation adjacent to the 17,000-acre Morne Trois Pitons National Park.
Universities hold seminars on the Plantation that provides students access to virgin tropical rain forests.
