Evergreen Hotel - Dominica

The 16 air-conditioned rooms in two buildings have two beds, tile floors, phones, and TV. Ask for a sea view room as they have small balconies. A separate honeymoon cottage faces the sea and is air-conditioned with a refrigerator, phone, TV and private porch. The rooms vary in size with an adjoining tile bathroom and shower. The electricity is 220, so bring an adapter and converter if you plan on plugging in any appliances or battery chargers.

Laundry service is available, as is a small conference facility, fax and postal service. A friendly, helpful staff will make your stay enjoyable.

The shoreline here is rocky and a concrete seawall is built along the shore. Large rocks make beach walking uncomfortable, so for a sandy beach, you need to travel a half-hour north to Castaways or a half-hour south to the town of Soufriere and Scotts Head at the Southern-most tip of the island.

Scuba diving, snorkeling, and whale watching trips can be arranged with neighboring dive shops. Boat cruises, day tours, horseback riding, and car rentals are also available, or venture off into Roseau for a bit of shopping for native crafts and some duty-free shops near the pier.
