Description
Crescent Moon cabins is a unique and serene environment located in the foothills of Morne Trois Pitons National Park, midway between the Melville Hall airport and the capitol city Roseau. Challenging hiking, hidden waterfalls, snorkeling coves and exportable ruins are all within the valley and they can make the necessary arrangements for guides to accommodate your special interests.
Each cabin has a full and a single bed, hot showers and verandahs which overlook the Caribbean Sea through the rainforest at 1800 feet. The private dining area serves dinner for $35 and breakfast and home roasted coffee are included in your room rate. Lunches can also be served or packed for travel.
This eco-sensitive establishment effectively "recycled" the ruins of the original hotel, building on existing foundations, using local hand-harvested materials within previously landscaped areas. Fortunate to be situated on Rivier La Croix, which provides all utility water via a ram pump. On premises, there's also a 100-foot greenhouse for growing organic produce. Bush tea and culinary herb gardens are all labeled for self-guided tours. Daily chores include roasting and milling coffee grown within our valley, picking and juicing fruits such as passionfruit, carambolas, and oranges, and gathering eggs from our chickens. Even though you're on vacation, you're always welcome to participate or study these processes.
Meals are provided from the freshest ingredients and complemented by the homemade bread.
