I've had many wonderful stays at the Kaoba. Visited: January 2006 Posted by csvphv Our family has stayed at this hotel a good number of times. If there has been any problem, the staff has taken care of it immediately. Whether our stay was with kids or just the adults, we have had freindly, safe and clean services. A must is to stay in the more expensive accommodations: Grand Studoi's or Apt. The bar/ restaurant service staff, chef, desk, maid, grounds staff are all wonderful. The manager could mingle and smile a little more, though! The hotel is located across the street from the beach (close to everything ). The pool area is awesome, and very clean. Food is good, they serve great coffee, and the front sidewalk is great to people-watch and listen to the noisy, fun town. Real estate information and a pharmacy adjoin the hotel, and are found to be quite helpful and charming as well. Visited: July 2005 Posted by billh33407 I was in room 130B, which was near the back of the grounds. The walkway would flood after each rain. Also, there was a gap under the door big enough for large bugs to walk in. The doors on this building stuck, too, so the sound of slamming doors was common. In addition, the refrigerator was rusted, the bedspread had a cigarette hole in it, and the sheet and towels were old and coarse. Last, when I came back from breakfast (about 10:00 am), I informed the girl at the desk I would be checking out about noon, and that a taxi would be coming for me. About 12:30, I went to the front desk and asked if the taxi had come. She said "yes, I called your room, but you did not answer”. I did not answer because the phone did not work. Visited: March 2002 Posted by SDannielle The new rooms in the main part of the hotel are beautiful. I have not stayed in the other rooms located in the back of the property. There are many styles of rooms to choose from. It all depends on what you want to pay for. Personally, I get the more expensive room and it's well worth it. I have stayed at this hotel many times. The staff and service are great! They have internet access downstairs from your room, as well as a small cafe and bar.
