Located within walking distance of the most beautiful tropical beaches of the sunny North Atlantic coast of the Dominican Republic, the El Colibri Hotel invites guests to relax in its comfortable accommodations, with the personal attention of the hotel’s Dutch staff, who will make your stay as pleasant as possible.

The hotel is conveniently situated in the small lively town of Sosua, in close proximity with many shops, restaurants and night clubs. Its 32 studios are distributed in a single floor around a big swimming pool surrounded by a colorful tropical garden with palm trees, where guests can relax during the day. Rooms come equipped with air-conditioning, queen size beds, private bathroom, color cable TV, safe deposit box, and a terrace overlooking the pool or the patio. Rooms with kitchenette and refrigerator are available on request. Meals are served in the half-open poolside restaurant, and, in the evening, you can enjoy the friendly atmosphere of the bar, serving tropical cocktails and drinks.

Other services and facilities available to guests include daily maid service, laundry service, money exchange, airport transfer, diving lessons, internet access and fax service. The hotel also organizes tours for groups to nearby attractions such as the small tropical island of Samana, sightseeing tours and much more. If you like excitement you can go river-rafting, or horseback-riding in the beautiful surrounding nature and on the beach, go on a real jeep-safari through the mountains and the woods, or swim in the crystal-clear waterfalls of Jarabacoa.

Close to Sosua you can visit the town of Puerto Plata or the village Cabarete, which is known for good windsurf possibilities and beautiful caves. At about 4 kilometers from Sosua there is a new opened Aquapark with several swimming pools and huge slides. The closest airport is Puerto Plata International Airport at 6 km from the hotel.
