This resort is very much over rated Visited: August 2005 Posted by hosea0000 I stayed at the Hamoca for five days and from the time I arrived with some friends it wasnt a very good stay. When we arrived the check in time is at three p.m. Our room wasn't ready till 5 p.m. We had to wait two additional hours sweating and in the hot muggy lobby. Once we checked into the rooms there were no wash towels and there was only one skimpy bar of soap. This is an all inclusive resort and the food was terrible. My first night we ate at the italian resturant. I ordered the pork tenderloin. I thought I was eating wild boar. My second night there I ate the fish at the main resturant and got food poison. I was sick for a full day until I cleansed my stomach out. There are security guards every 50 feet of the resort so the locals can't get on the resort. I had some friends come to visit me from Santiago and had to pay 50.00 dollars for each guest which I thought was ridicilous. The disco that they have in the resort has no fans or air conditioners which makes it a very uncomfortable evening if you decide to go dancing there. Did you find this helpful? grounds are nice,food not good Visited: January 2005 Posted by sgarry1955 room was clean but problems with A/C food and service was the same;terrible dining was not pleasant as even to get a cup of coffee from bus boys was a chore and we never were given a spoon.The food was plentiful but unedible.Pool area was nice and clean but chairs were never cleaned of bird droppings.
