The Puntacana Hotel - Dominican Republic

The Puntacana Hotel stretches along a 5-kilometer strand of Caribbean Beach with an ecological reserve, 18-hold oceanfront golf course, and horseback riding ranch. The resort is located in the Dominican Republic village of Higuey.

The ecological reserve is a 105-acre property with a biodiversity/sustainability research center across the road from the resort. The resort has an outdoor pool, an adjacent children's pool, a "quiet" pool with waterfall, and a third pool provides sea views. Non-motorized watersports gear is complimentary. Reef, wreck, freshwater cave and underground riiver dives are offered for a fee. Complimentary eco-tours navigate the ecologiccal reserve. La Cana Golf Course features panoramic vistas with 4 holes located on island greens on the Caribbean Sea.

The resort features ten restaurants that cater to most every palate. Complimentary supervised children's activities are provided for ages 4-12. Complimentary family activities include dance, Spanish lessons, games and sports. An internet center contains computers with high-speed connections, and complimentary wireless internet access is available in the lobby and the main pool area. Use of the fitness center is complimentary.

The resort offers 400 guestrooms, suites, and villas. Full breakfasts and dinners (excluding dinner beverages), including taxes and gratuities are included. The 77 villas are located within the resort's forest or garden section, and others face the beach. Villas have open-air living rooms with private gardens and courtyards.
