I had a great holiday, but a nightmare catamaran trip! Visited: April 2008 |

I had a fantastic time. There was lots to do if you like sports or just laying around. This isn't for the clubbing type, though
The food was good, and the people were nice.
Don't book your catamaran trip with Petra at the pool, though. Aguara Catamarans took us out in high seas, torrential rain and driving wind it was both unpleasant and dangerous! A thoroughly sick and miserable time was had by all! |

I came here with my parents (as I'm not old enough to go alone). It was just my mom, my dad and me, so I wasn't sure if I wanted to go.
However, there were plenty of things for me to do. I met lots of great people. The disco was a lot of fun, and their shows were very entertaining. I also liked the music they played on the beach.
The Dominicans were very nice, too. |

I am 14 years old. I have been back home for a week, and I am already wanting to go back to the Luperon.
My mum, dad and I loved everything here. We could not fault.
I met some locals, and I stayed with them for the whole two weeks I was here - apart from the few days I stayed with my family.
I did not want to leave. I was very upset when I had to say goodbye to the resort and to the people I met.
I will definitely be back in February of next year, and will move there when I am 18! |

I absolutely loved the Luperon Beach Resort. I am 14, and went with my Mum and my cousin (who is also 14). We loved it!
My cousin and I spent our time speaking to the animation team, who provided the entertainment. Meanwhile, my mum just relaxed and read her book on the beach.
At the end of our two weeks, my cousin and I did not want to come home. We would have gladly stayed longer.
The environment here was wonderful, as was the view! Everyone we passed said "hello", and the Dominicans were great people. You can't help but loved them.
The rooms here were very comfortable and clean. The food was good, too. There was always a wide selection of different foods for you to chose for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The entertainment during the day was also good! There was water aerobics, archery, volley ball, water polo, horseriding, french bowls, banana boats, and much more!
The evening entertainment was also great, with many different shows to see, and then a disco afterwards until late. I learned to Merengue because the animation team was always teaching people how to dance. They know how to have fun.
I would come here again - definitely. There is no doubt about it. I have been on many other holidays, but Luperon Beach Resort, by far was the best ever... and I mean that! |

This hotel is a must. They offered excellent food, entertainment, and staff. It is a complete package. If you are coming to the Domician Republic, come to the best hotel - Luperon Beach Resort.
I could not find any faults. I would recommend this resort for guests of any age, families, singles, or couples.
Also, I suggest you book your trips with Petra in the resort grounds. They offer the same trips as other companies, but they are cheaper at the resort. |

We had a fantastic holiday at Luperon Beach Resort. Visited: July 2006 |

In July, my best friend, her family and I went to the Dominican Republic. It was their second visit, but my first. I had been told it was good, but never imagined it would be that good!
The resort was fantastic! All the pools were great and clean, the food was excellent, and the entertainment was great. The animation team was so friendly. They were lovely people to talk to, and were great entertainers. We had never seen anything like it - they made our holiday.
The disco on the resort was also brilliant, and we went there nearly every night from 11:00 pm until 2:00 am! There was loads of activities to do - day and night - so we never got bored!
The rooms were really nice. They had just what we needed. The staff was friendly, and made us feel very welcomed. The beach was beautiful, and they also had many activities there.
We made good friends with some of the locals, and we had a great holiday. We enjoyed our holiday so much at Luperon Beach Resort we are going to try and come back. It was a holiday we will never forget! |

We came to Luperon this year, and it was the most amazing holiday we have had.
The bar staff and restaurant waiters worked very hard for what money they earn. And they always managed to smile, unlike the staff we have back home in some places. We recommend you indulge in the cocktail called the Blue Train.
My wife-to-be, Dawn, loved every second of the holiday. Seeing the look on her face every morning we got up was enough for me. This was a place for romance, so come on boys - get to Luperon!A
s for the locals, thay are hard working people just like us, and they cause no problems at all. The food was great, and the local beer, Presidente, is to die for. |

It was excellent - lots of fun and beautiful! Visited: January 2006 |

We stayed at the Luperon Beach Resort December 27, 2005 to January 3, 2006. It was the first time away over the holidays, and we weren't sure how we'd like it since it was rated as a 3.5 stars. It now may become an annual holiday tradition to be at the Luperon because we had so much fun.
New Year's Eve was great! We had two teenage boys with us - 15, and 18 - and they really liked it. The disco was a very happening place from 12-2 a.m. The evening entertainment was really good - better than some four-star places I've been to.
The food was good with a wide variey available to please everyone. The a la carte restaurants were good, too, with two seatings (at 6:30 or 9 p.m). Also, the food at the beach was really good. They served pizzas, burgers, barbeque chicken, pasta, fruit, fries - tons of variety for a 3.5-star resort.
The three pools were all different, depending on if you wanted fun or quiet. We spent most of our time at the pool by the activity centre, and we took part in water aerobics, ping pong, darts, etc. There was so much to do - shuffleboard, horseshoes, ping pong, tennis, fitness centre, volleyball, water polo, dance lessons, Spanish lessons. Also, the animation team was fantastic. Water sports were available, too.
All the staff were really nice. We stayed in building two, top floor adjacent rooms overlooking one of the pools. It was nice! We didn't pay extra for a suite, but via e-mail we asked for a top floor with pool view and we got two suites. E-mail the resort directly with any special requests you have, and they are very accommodating. We can't wait to return! |

This was the first holiday my boyfriend and I had taken together, and my first proper holiday abroad. Our hotel was allocated on arrival and we were so glad that we had been allocated Luperon Beach Resort.
The staff was so friendly and helpful. The whole resort was amazingly beautiful.
We stayed in block 19 on the ground floor with a view of the sea and the beach. The room was a good size with two double beds in it. Our maid was excellent, and our room was cleaned thoroughly every day. New towels were supplied if needed, and fresh clean water was topped up in our fridge.
The pools were lovely to sit and relax by, and there were four to choose from.
The food was also really good. There was always fresh meat cooked in the evening (such as beef, chicken, fish, etc.). Also, the buffet style had a good variety to choose from. The beachside food snack bars were also really good to get pizza, chicken, pasta, etc.
One word of warning, though. Don't pay the first price the people in the shops ask from you - haggle!
Overall, this holiday was amazing and we would definitely recommend Luperon Beach Resort to anyone going to the Dominican Republic. |

I had a fabulous, cheap, two-week stay in the sun! Visited: March 2005 |

If you want a hot, clean and comfortable holiday, this place is fabulous. Tip the maids and they will look after you doubly well.
The rooms are clean, big and comfortable. Food is not bad, and there is lots of fresh fruit! Don't be a drip - try it. It's not your typical egg and chips. Just remember - you are in the Caribbean!
The people and staff are friendly and accommodating. Get to know them! And take lots of cheap things to give to the locals and staff - pens, crayons, make up - and you will have friends for life!
Make sure you get out of the resort. Try some trips, and use local taxi. A whole day will cost you about £10. Punta Rusia is a must! The coral and fish will blow you away.
Everything you need is here, it's what you make it! We had a ball for two weeks. We came home to rain that lasted a month, and went back for another two weeks! |

We had a great vacation at Luperon, and they have honest staff! Visited: March 2005 |

This email is long overdue. We went to the Luperon Beach Resort in March, and had a great time. My husband and I (a Dominican residing in the US) visited with our four-month old daughter for a short vacation. Though it was not a five-star resort, we definitely get our money's worth.
Our room was clean, but not ostentatious, and we even had a brand-new crib to put our baby in. The food was decent, and the entertainment was great - but please do not expect a Broadway show!
The staff was friendly. And even though their English was not perfect, it was understandable. Power outages were quite common in the island, and I thought the response from the emergency generator was pretty quick (they had candles and matches in the rooms in case something goes wrong, but we did not have to use them).
But this was what made the staff deserve our loyalty: On our way back to the US (the night before our flight, we were already in Santo Domingo), we realized that we had left our passports in the hotel. Immediately upon calling the hotel, Juana, the receptionist/head of reservations/everything-woman, sent someone to our room to look for our passports. She called us to tell us she had them, and then locked them in the hotel safe until we found someone trustworthy to deliver them to us. Then, when someone went to pick them up, she called us before releasing them to him. That meant the world to us.
We will definitely go back. And invite you to do the same, if you are looking for a nice and simple, unpretentious all-inclusive. |

Luperon Beach Resort, I went expecting a good holiday, I got more than I expected. It was so supurb, The rooms were clean, well kept, even though I wasnt there to spend time in the rooms only sleep and thats pretty much what I did. The staff were incredible, the waiters we looked forward to seeing every dinner as we enjoyed their warm friendly and gratious service. Our Favorites were Francisco and Holio, so sorry we didnt get to see Francisco as we heard his mother had passed away. The bar servers were so nice as well, The animation Team WOW! Where do they get all that energy to work all day keeping us entertained wheither it was was playing beach volleyball, beach exercise, games, or dancing it was Incredible they were so Friendly all the time, all the young men and women were great dancers and entertainers, Thank you so much for your Supurb efforts. We enjoyed getting to know some of the many staff, but they were all so friendly everyone said "OLLA" even if they knew no english. The Resort wasn't a 5 star but as far as friendly and eager staff they get a 5 plus from us. The Food I had a tough time with but I am very fussy, the "ala carte" was the best for me. By the end of the week I was eating new things I had gotten braver. We Spent a day in the village, enjoyed the walk in, saw the local hospital, firehall and lawyers office. The people were very kind and helpful. there was nothing to be scared off. WE ate lunch in town at Captain Steves who is an American and it was EXCELLENT. We walked up to the new Marina what an incredible view. Thanks to the American who lived on the journey up the hill who turned around and gave me a ride the rest of the way up the hill. EVERYONE was GREAT! LUPERON BEACH RESORT is what you make of it. The constant cleaning of staff, the service of your waiter, the pools the beach and the incredible view, HOW can anyone complain. THANK YOU SO MUCH! |

I am not sure what people go for, but I got more than I expected. My girlfriend and I laughed so much and had so much fun.
The rooms were clean and freshened every day.
The staff was incredible. We looked forward to seeing the waiters every dinner as we enjoyed their warm, friendly and gracious service. The bar servers were so nice as well.
And the animation team - wow! Where do they get all that energy to work all day keeping us entertained? Whether it was was playing beach volleyball, beach exercise, games, or dancing, it was incredible. They were so friendly all the time. All the young men and women were great dancers and entertainers. Thank you so much for your superb efforts.
We enjoyed getting to know some of the many staff, but they were all so friendly. Everyone said "hola", even if they knew no English.
The resort wasn't a five-star, but as far as friendly and eager staff, they got a "five plus- star" from us.
As for the food - I had a tough time. But I am very fussy. The a la carte options were the best for me. By the end of the week, I was eating new things as I had gotten braver.
We spent a day in the village, enjoyed the walk in, saw the local hospital, fire hall and lawyer's office. The people were very kind and helpful. There was nothing to be scared of.
We also ate lunch in town at Captain Steve's and it was excellent. We walked up to the new marina - what an incredible view.
The people were also wonderful - so friendly and helpful. The scenery was beautiful! We would go back tomorrow if we could afford it.
What we thought was most important was the friendliness and kindness of the employees. Thank you Luperon Beach Resort for a spectacular vacation! Our only regret was that we didn't stay two weeks. The Presidente was super, as well! |

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at the Luperon Beach Resort and would definitely recommend it.
Our only complaint is that it was difficult at times to find the individuals in charge of reserving the on-site restaurants and signing up for activities and exchanging towels. Outside of that, it was fabulous. |

After reading dozens of reviews (most of which were terrible), we decided to make this trip anyway. My boyfriend (35years old) and I (36 years old) went with low expectations, other than to have a great time together. Which we did.
Most reviewers complained about the food and the service. Being in the service industry myself, I felt that most of these complaints were unfounded. We had several very cheery waitresses and bartenders! We just loved Jeshwann at the pool bar next to the buffet restaurant. She was superb!
The food was fine. We both decided that if we stuck to the buffet we always knew what we were getting. The mashed potatoes were great, chicken was always good, and - although not a seafood lover myself - my boyfriend said it was very good as well.
Other complaints in the reviews addressed the room standards. Having been a housekeeper and a housekeeping manager myself (at a four-star property), I can assure you that the rooms were very clean and well maintained in our block (15).
The maid was very thorough, and we were very satisfied with her service. The only bug we saw was on our last day, and it was a rather large spider that the maid killed for me.
Down at the pool bar, the entertainment was great. We loved Shorty and all the other animacion team members. My boyfriend was in a sesi (sexy) dance competion and we laughed our butts off, it was too funny. We certainly enjoyed his winnings later on (a bottle of rum).
We also met fantastic people on our trip.. Jen and Ryan from Calgary, Kate, Gisela, and Wayne from Biggar. I think we all felt the same about our trips!
All in all, it was a great trip, and we would definitely go back to this resort on another holiday! |
