This was a wonderful place to stay. Visited: May 2006 Posted by jill_conkright This resort was awesome! The food was great, too. We loved the two pools and the huge beach. There were lots of bars. It was hot and sunny every day here. We tipped the maid $2 dollars a day, and she gave us extra beer and soda. The Italian and Mexican restaurants were both yummy. We also went to Sunday mass, and that was so nice! We loved the staff. The tram was smelly with a gas odor. I suggest you bring tanning oil and sunscreen. The gift shop charged $4 for batteris. Cigarettes were $22 a carton at the airport bar. In addition, use of the computer was $5 for 15 minutes. They don't take American coins. Mike's coffee was good, and there were lots of great chocolate cakes. We had fun. I would definitely go back! It was a beautiful resort, but with terrible service. Visited: May 2006 Posted by kettysun The Ocean Blue was a beautifil, well maintained resort. The downfall was the constant stalking we encountered from the onsite travel agent to try and get us to hear their sales pitch. Also, the front desk service seemed to be non-existent. We had to call the bell service four times, and they still did not arrive. In addition, the front desk refused to call a taxi for us to leave the resort. The front desk then charged us a $50.00 fine for late check-out, with no signs indicating that the penalty.
