Sited within the prestigious Orchid Bay Estates gated community, our family rental villa offers the privacy of your home with the elegant convenience of a complete luxury accommodation. Located only steps away from the warm ocean beachfront, this Dominican Republic villa is designed in the colonial Caribbean manner with wrap around verandas offering ample shaded relaxation space overlooking the ocean and lush forested hills behind.
Flying Cloud Villa was designed by a world famous, award winning architect in the Caribbean Victoria Style. This stunning luxury vacation villa has two spacious floors surrounded by 4 meter deep shady verandas. Reclining on the veranda is a favorite "sport" in this rental villa as you gaze out over the ocean or, by simply turning your head, view the lush green hillsides.

Villa Notes:
You have the option of cooking for yourself or truly relaxing while one of the trained staff members prepares each and every meal for you. The choice is yours!
Option #1 - Self Catering: You have the free use of the kitchen and facilities to prepare all of your meals and snacks for the duration of your stay. Under this option you need to tell us if you will be doing the shopping for groceries or you would like us to do it for you.
If the staff does the shopping, they charge a per trip fee of $100US in addition to the cost of the food. If you want to shop, we strongly recommend you do all of your shopping before arriving in the villa as the local grocery has a limited selection of foods. Whichever way you choose is entirely up to you—it’s your vacation!
Also, under the Self Catering option you can purchase a “starter bar”. The starter bar includes 2 bottles of white wine, 2 bottles of red wine, 1 case of Presidente Beer (an excellent light pilsner), 1 bottle of white Dominican rum and 1 bottle of dark Dominican rum. Surely enough for the first evening of festivities! The cost for the starter bar is only $100US if purchased at the time of booking.
Option #2 - The Staff Cooks. Relax in total comfort as your local Dominican cook prepares each meal for your group, including mid-afternoon snacks, while you are staying at Flying Cloud Villa. No more struggling to figure out which food to buy, where to get it or when to start planning the meals—it’s all done for you so all you have to worry about is where to have your next massage!
This option is provided for a daily charge of only US$50/pp (age 12+), US$25/pp (age 4 - 11) and FREE for under the age of 4. Under this plan, the staff will do all of the shopping for you and the fee includes all costs for bottled water, soda pop, fresh fruit juices and some mixers for the bar. Also, the “starter bar” described above is included for no additional cost (7 day rental minimum)!
Once you have reserved the villa, the villa guest services manager will be in contact with sample menus and to discuss any food preferences or allergies they need to know about. The final menu you develop with them will help plan the shopping trip (no add’l charge) so if you have something special you want – like stocking up on Oreo’s – make sure to let us know!

Villa Notes:
The kitchen usage price is US$200 per day and includes the following: kitchen staff, condiments, food preparation (client creates their own menu), table service and clean up. This price also includes light snacks, bottled water and non-alcoholic beverages. Guests are therefore responsible for all food shopping and transportation of food to the villa.
