Excellent location, friendly staff, with a "chilled" environment. Visited: December 2003 |

We've just returned from a two-week stay at The Coyaba and, although the weather could have been better, we had a great time. It was certainly a better resort than the brochure had suggested and, having seen other hotels in a similar price bracket, we would not have swapped for anything.
The rooms were pretty basic but very clean; they had everything we needed and most had great views, either of the adjacent beach or attractive pool area.
The resort's best asset was its staff - friendly and informal and always willing to help - special mention to Kirt, Andy and Benson (quality trio of barmen, always smiling and, in the case of Benson, dancing!). Our one gripe was that it did take a few days to get our shower working with hot water.
It was in a superb location, right on the spectacular Grand Anse Beach. The pool was nicely designed with a shaded swim-up bar and there were plenty of sports facilities - shuffleboard, tennis, standard water sports, volley-ball court, etc.
One point worth bearing in mind was the average age of the clients - we're both 30 and were at least 25 years younger than most of the other guests! That said, the casual atmosphere in the bar and restuarant areas ensured we met loads of nice people and never felt out of place.
Food was what you'd expect from an all-inclusive Caribbean resort - regular breakfast fare, buffet lunches and more formal evening dining - and the cocktails were free flowing.
A great trip to definitely consider is a tour of The Grenadines on the Scaramouche, an antique schooner that was featured in The Pirates of the Caribbean - The Grenadines are what we all grow up believing the Caribbean to be all about.
All in all, it was a great holiday at a resort that we would whole-heartedly recommend and hope to return to one day. Indeed, we met three or four couples who had been returning for many years. |

We have just returned from ten days at the Coyaba Beach Resort.
The staff was so friendly, and the resort was extremely well run.
Cleanliness was excellent with clean towels daily. The bedrooms were simply furnished with comfortable beds and adequate storage facilities for clothing. On arrival we found an ice bucket with chilled water which was a very nice touch.
Food was very good, local produce in a buffet-style for breakfast and lunches in the Arawakana restaurant, and waiter service most evenings in the Pepperpot Restaurant. If you didn't find anything to your taste at the buffet, you could always have an a la carte meal at no extra cost.
The daily special cocktails were interesting and very more-ish!!
Altogether, it was a great holiday in a hotel with beautiful gardens and the beach only a stone's throw away. Even the beach vendors were not too troublesome! |

It was relaxing and enjoyable, but the food could improve. Visited: February 2003 |

We stayed for a week all-inclusive, and our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. But the food - especially at breakfast - was disappointing.
The grounds were exceptional, but the hotel was built in six blocks like a Chevron positioned at an angle to the sea, so the sea views (except for the front two blocks) were restricted.
The staff was always helpful and the cocktails were free flowing.
The beach was clean and it was nice to stroll along the Grande Anse - although we did get a bit fed up with the vendors trying to sell spices,T-shirts, jewelry and even grass reed hats and baskets.
Also, if you are a golfer, you will be disappointed with the golf course. The greens were worse than fairways.
Despite the food aspect, we would definitely return one day |

This resort is in great location, the grounds are truly beautiful and the staff is wonderful. Eco Dive, located on the property, is also A-1. Get Dave (an ex-miner) as your instructor.
Our only gripe (we have stayed twice) is the food - it is expensive and bland. Do not go full board, as there is a fantastic restaurant across the road - just ask for Mac's. The Aquarium restaurant (you will need a taxi) is in an unbelievable location and has great food. The waitresses are also gorgeous. Some restaurants will send a driver for you if you ask. |

This is a great place to spend a relaxing holiday. It is right on the beach and close to bars and restaurants.
The dive shop is called Eco Dive, and is also excellent with friendly and informed staff.

We have stayed at this hotel twice and even hosted the guests of our wedding here!
The staff is wonderful! The grounds are beautiful! I can't imagine staying anywhere else. There is a great beach right outside your door and a market just across the street! |

We stayed at Coyaba for 8 nights. The rooms were clean and comparable to a Holiday Inn in the U.S. We switched rooms to find an air conditioner that kept up with the Grenadian summer heat; the window units seemed to vary by room.
Service was outstanding - everyone associated with the resort was pleasant, welcoming, and went out of their way to ensure guests were enjoying their stay.
Food was average at best and overpriced, as were alcoholic beverages. Spiceland Mall (including a grocery store) is located across the street from Coyaba and has a nice selection of snacks, beer, beverages, etc. EcoDive is located on premises and was fantastic to deal with. The instructors were professional and friendly and gave plenty of individual attention. We found Coyaba to be a value for the money.

Switch off and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Visited: June 2001 |

A great place to switch off. The large grounds, pool and access to the beach were almost ideal. I strongly recommend to anyone wishing to unwind. My only advice is that the restaurant is overpriced and much better meals can be obtained within walking distance of the hotel at similar prices. |
