| We stayed at the Flamboyant for six nights, and wish we could have made it longer. In the time we spent here we could only find one thing negative experience. I would recommend the Flamboyant to any one. When we return to Grenada, we will certainly stay here again. |

| We stayed at the Spice Island Resort in June for 14 nights. We chose the Seagrape Beachfront suite. Although this was not the most luxurious choice at Spice, the location was wonderful. We just opened our patio door and we were on the beach! The food was very good, and the staff was very helpful. We just asked, and it was done. It was not a cheap holiday. However, it was so good, I plan to go back. |

| I have read several reviews of this hotel and agree with the most positive. Here, you'll find a clean, spacious and comfortable room with a fantastic view. Also, the staff is friendly. The many steps from restaurant and beach to hotel room were a good health challenge, not cumbersome. Besides, they are arranged in flights, and at each "landing" you could pause and admire the near and far views. We've stayed at other hotels on the Grenada beach before, and cannot remember that any was more satisfactory than the Flamboyant--although they are now more expensive. We hope to visit again soon. |

Highly recommended! Visited: January 2008 |

| We stayed at Mango Bay Cottages for almost two weeks in January 2008, and can highly recommend it to anyone who likes non-touristy places (talking both about the cottages and the island itself). The place is off the beaten track, away from nightlife, stores and traffic, but in easy driving distance of the same (to St. Georges it takes about 25 minutes). It's possible to get around by bus, but definitely more convenient to rent a car if you want to explore the island. The room itself was simple, but very spacious and clean. Each comes with a fantastic view over the ocean. The owners were not only very friendly and helpful in every possible way, but also fantastic cooks (just as good as any other local restaurant!). A steep five-minute walk down from the cottages is the actual highlight of the place: a beautiful natural beach, very quiet (most of the time you'll have the beach to yourself!) and great for snorkeling. All in all, it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Caribbean way of life! |

| If you don't care to stay at a huge resort and are looking for a picturesque retreat to make your base for exploring Grenada, look no further. The newly opened (October 2007) Mango Bay Cottages are clean, comfortable, and quiet. Its great location away from the city makes it easy to explore the rest of the island. We enjoyed million-dollar sunset views from our hammock on our private balcony every night. The owners were very helpful and friendly from the first email inquiry I sent them to the moment we left. I will recommend it to all my friends and family. We're looking forward to a return visit. |

See you again in Grenada - welcome home! Visited: January 2008 |

| I have been in the Caribbean various times and to a couple of different places, but fell in love with Grenada almost immediately back in 2003. Since then, this is my fourth time I spent on the isle and - luckily - found another hidden treasure: The Mango Bay Cottages! These guys did a fantastic job in turning a piece of land into a magnificent hideaway. And it is not only the place, it is also about the people... both Anja and Kai served me so well as I would feel almost as home! I joined fresh breakfasts with other guests, enjoyed a couple of well prepared dinners and very new and clean facilities. They offered affordable rates, and my eyes and ears were open to receive it all. To all friends of mass tourism and all-inclusive freaks - please do not bother with either Grenada or Mango Bay. It will not work out. Grenada, in general, and Mango Bay are special. It is all about personal experience and joy in a highly individual sophisticated atmosphere. Relax and enjoy. I will be back soon, promised! |

What a wonderful time! Visited: November 2008 |

| We had a wonderful time. My husband and I stayed at the Mango Bay Cottages for over a week. It was fantastic. They met the flight, arranged car hire, and provided a lovely very clean room with a big king sized bed, and a small but well equiped kitchen. It is run by Anja and Kai, a really friendly couple who can help with every sort of advice. It ensured that we saw all the things that were fun and beautiful - and also that we went and spent time at places that are just lovely, which without their help, we could easily have missed. When we go on holiday, there are times when we want peace and quiet, and other times when we want to listen to the stories of Grenada and what is going on. They definitely provided both. We had some real good evening meals at Mango Bay. We will return and will be recommending it to our friends. |

| My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary at this resort, and it was absolutely wonderful. The place was serene and breathtaking. The owner, Susan Fisher, and her staff were welcoming and friendly. We felt safe and very comfortable. The villa was magnificent, and the pool was unbelievable. I wouldn't have spent my first anniversay any differently, and I honestly can't wait to return to the plantations again. |

It was not so pleasant. Visited: March 2008 |

| Grenada was an amazing island and I would love to visit there again sometime. However, the Allamanda was horrible. My family and I had to switch rooms twice. The first time was because the air conditioner was dripping on the tile floor created a big pile of water for me to slip on in the morning. When the owner, who nevertheless was very sweet, switched our rooms so that he could fix the air conditioning leak, we got the "ocean view" which really was the view of the deserted pool. The staff was very nice. The cleaning ladies were very rude, though. The owner also insisted that we leave our safe key with him whenever we left our room. (We didn't). They also had a Jacuzzi that did not have any water in it - just mold and dried up leaves. There were three families total staying at the resort at the time of my stay. The bartenders did not know how to make any drinks that were on their menu. It was best to just ask for a Carib (local beer) because they usually were better at taking the bottle cap off. The tour guide, Kurt, was amazing and very helpful. He made my stay here a whole lot better. Overall, I spent my vacation only sleeping at the dump and walking next door to the Coyoba. It was a beautiful hotel right next door that had entertainment, buffet, people, cleanliness, and bartenders who knew how to make drinks. Only go to the Allamanda if you are 65+ years of age and are just going to relax. It is not recommended for kids at all. |

Laluna is spectacular. Visited: February 2009 |
|
| Posted by maryg_ | |
| It was unforgettable. I first arrived at Laluna in time for a late seaside dinner. The meal was absolutely wonderful. But more than that, the sound of the surf, the lighting, the comfortable furnishings, and the hosts (the Bertucci)s - all contributed to a world where one has no choice but to relax. The next day, I had a pedicure in an open air setting - during which I could hear my friends laughing while they enjoyed lunch on the beach. Meanwhile, a tiny humming bird drifted in and sat next to my chair. It was magical. My husband and I had side-by-side massages given by two lovely (yet strong) women from Bali. I've traveled a good bit, yet I had never been to Grenada. I would return to Grenada in a heartbeat. LaLuna was a surprise of exceptional grace in a country still unspoiled by our modern world. |

| We stayed at the nearby Maca Bana Villas, so we visited the Aquarium a number of times. We found the selections well prepared, and the staff pleasant. Make sure your visit includes their Sunday BBQ. La Sirena bar is a wonderful setting to enjoy a rum punch or a fresh fish sandwich. |

It was a nice setting, but the food was average. |
|
| Posted by kewee | |
| We ordered a lobster dish and the catch of the day, and found both choices to be adequate, but nothing special. I came for the coconut pie, an advertised house specialty. They had none, and I was told I should have called ahead to make sure it was available. I can understand checking availability for a fresh fish, but a baked item? |

Maca Bana is a slice of paradise. Visited: February 2009 |
|
| Posted by kewee | |
| Our stay at Maca Bana can only be described as perfect. Our one-bedroom villa offered a spectacular view and ultimate privacy. The villas were individually decorated and nicely appointed. A "welcome basket", which included breakfast items and fruit, was provided. The grounds were nicely maintained, and daily housekeeping kept the villas very clean. There was friendly assistance in arranging tours or other services. Maca Bana is ideal for a honeymoon or other romantic getaway. Both the steep terrain and overall setting make it inappropriate for families with small children. It's a quiet and secluded environment. The only difficult moment I experienced was having to leave! |

We love the Bar Dodgy Dock. |
|
| Posted by monalisa | |
| We had lunch and dinner here several times. The staff was very nice, especially Shelisha. She was a star at always finding us a good waterfront table. The fresh catch of the day and lobster were our favorites, Akim prepared the best tropical cocktail, and we became addicted to the “Dodgy Lime”. For the Grenadian night (once a week), they had a fabulous display of local exotic fruits and vegetables. Also, the entertainment was terrific, as we learned about Parang Music, typical of Grenada. |

Our stay at True Blue Bay Resort was incredible. |

| Our stay was wonderful, beginning with our very warm greeting by Amanda. As a matter of fact, I cannot say enough about Amanda. She was the icing on the cake. She anticipated our needs and made our brief stay absolutely wonderful. We were so grateful that she had the foresight to order a light dinner for us on the night of our arrival. We got there after the restaurant kitchen had closed, and we were famished. I can tell you, those were the best cheese sandwiches we ever ate! Our accommodations were beautiful and so comfortable. It was very hard to leave, and I can't wait to come back. Thank you again for a delightful experience! |

| My husband, our son and I had a wonderful time at True Blue. The staff's friendliness and willingness to help was outstanding. The food was great, too. Although it was a few miles from our favorite beach Grand Anse, we had hours of fun splashing around in the choice of two pools and nearby beaches. We felt like we made lots of friends in Grenada - and particularly True Blue. We will be heading back as soon as we can! |

Mount Cinnamon offers the best of both worlds. Visited: December 2008 |

| What is great about this hotel is the size of the rooms. We had a full kitchen, seperate bedrooms, and a lounge area. We even had a washer and dryer. It was more of a villa with all the amenities and services of a hotel. The staff made us feel very welcomed, and nothing was too much to ask. The hotel also had a very chic beach cabana where you can relax, eat, and play - which was a great added bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back again soon. The island had so much to do, and we only feel as though we discovered half of what was available. Grenada is a real gem! |

I needed to relax. Visited: August 2008 |

| What a wonderful hotel. The view from the room was quite breathtaking, and the beach with the mountains as a back drop was so relaxing. The dive shop staff was very friendly and professional. They really know their stuff. The staff was friendly and attentive, but were in no way overwhelming. Nothing was too much trouble. Fine art work with an Arawak feel was perfectly placed. A tour of the island is a must, and the resort can arrange everything. Try the local fair 'Oildown'. It's an interesting mix of root vegtables, meat and coconut - very filling. We'll be back to Coyaba. |

| Having three teenage boys that need total entertainment, I sat on my sun lounger listening to the sound of nothing. It was perfect. My boys were off kayaking, sailing, snorkeling, and an afternoon game of Cricket. The equipment was in excellent condition, and the rooms were fantastic. They are being refurbed at the moment, so ask for a good room. We had a sea view room - and what a view. The food was excellent, and the boys loved the ice cream! Try the nutmeg - it was amazing. Facilities for very small children were brilliant, and a very air conditioned TV room was a Godsend for that five-minute cool down. This hotel was so vast that you do not feel like you are on top of each other. Ken, the manager, was an absolute diamond and was always ready to help. If you want a beautiful holiday and need to relax, but want the choice of excitement and sports - this is for you. |
