El Rancho - Haiti

Nestled in hills of Petion-Ville 1200 feet above the city of Port-au- Prince, El Rancho is more like a palatial private estate than a hotel. In fact it was the home of Albert Silvera-the world-renowned collector of classic automobiles-who in 1950 decided to convert it into the most elegant resort in Haiti.

The hotel has 82 rooms and 5 suites, fully air-conditioned; they have a view of the mountains or on the two swimming pools embedded within exotic gardens. All rooms are equipped with a shower and/or a bath.

Satellite TV, long distance phone, and Internet access and in room safes complete the equipment of bedrooms and suites. In addition the suites have a refrigerator. Each room is elegantly decorated with a blend of Haitian art, crafts and furniture, as well as with modern and antique objects and furniture.
