I had a wonderful vacation at Dan's Creek Hotel. Visited: December 2009 |

| I decided to come to Haiti for the first time for New Years Eve. I was truly astonished when I first entered the hotel. The atmosphere was so friendly, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. When I was shown to my room, my suite was beautiful, and my terrace was facing the beach. Imagine waking up and being able to look at the beach from your room. You could almost touch it. The food was superb, and the staff catered to my every need. I truly felt as though I was royalty. The owners were always there to make the guests feel as though they were at home. The New Years Eve party made me feel as though I was in Hollywood. The decor was so beautiful, the entertainment was first class, and the fireworks were unbelieveable. I can't wait until the next big party, Carnival. I already booked my reservations because this place books up pretty fast. |

Staying here was an attack on my health. Visited: December 2009 |

| Have you ever thought of being subjected to loud, infernal noise that keeps you awake, prevents you from sleeping even after demanding days? This place is a half-time concert hall, not worrying about hotel guests who just pay to have a room to relax. Why is it not possible to decide between running a concert hall or running a hotel? "Relax and dream" it boasts on the homepage. Get me out of here so I can relax and dream! |

This is the best place to go! Visited: November 2009 |

| Dan's Creek is becoming my home vacation. I have come here twice, and both times I had a wonderful time. The food is great, the people are wonderful and the view is gorgeous. The atmosphere - there are no words to explain. The servers (David and Henry) are exceptional. You are taken care of like you are a king. The cascades are less than five minutes from the hotel, and are the best. Les Cayes and Camp Perrin are not far at all either. I Would love to spend either Christmas or New Year here, but it's already booked. I will make sure and bring someone with me the next time I come. Katia and Danny are great. Thanks for this wonderful place! |

There is no other place on earth that compares to Villa Creole. |

| Villa Creole was my home away from home for many years. The rooms, views, service and camaraderie were the best. There was nothing fake here. The people were sincere and happy to host you. Also, the restaurants around the area equal the best in the Caribbean. I would recommend Villa Creole to anyone visiting the area. I am sad I'm not there now. Enjoy! |

This is a pleasant little getaway! Visited: June 2009 |

| It is located conveniently near almost everything...Chan de Mas, Petion Ville, etc. The rooms are clean, and the service is great with a courteous staff. I regret not getting a room with a balcony, though. Next time I'll request a balcony room! I do wish their Internet access was functional. |

We had a very good experience here. Visited: September 2008 |

| We spent one week at Le Plaza, and had a very good experience. We booked an executive room at $119/night and were pleased with the size of the room. It was not new, and there were some quirks with the older bathroom fixtures, but it was clean and comfortable. The grounds were amazing - beautiful, lush foliage and a large swimming pool. A major plus was the free wireless Internet that allowed us to stay connected with our family back home. Also, breakfast was included, and the meals offered by the restaurant were reasonably priced and delicious. What most impressed us was the quality of the service. Everyone went out of their way to be helpful and kind. Being in downtown Port-au-Prince, we did at times feel somewhat insecure, but the hotel had armed guards as well as a number of UN peacekeepers as long-term guests. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely return. |

We encountered bed bugs here. Visited: August 2008 |

| Hotel Montana was fabulous - except that they have a bed bug issue. I was bitten all over my legs and back. Another colleague of mine also was subjected to bed bugs. It was awful. I had to see a dermatologist once I returned to the United States. | |

This hotel needs to be closed down. Visited: August 2008 |

| I came on the night of August 12th. The pool was nasty, and the room they gave us smelled like paint. The television did not work, and the bathroom was dirty. Finally, we went to see the third room. There was no air conditioning. They really need to close this place down. |

Hotel Oloffson is a great place. Visited: October 2006 |

| I have stayed at the Oloffson many times over the last 22 years. I have never had a bad stay or met a unhappy traveler. It is a truly unique place and has changed little since Graham Greene. Your fellow guests are likely to be interesting. I have met diplomats, rock stars, actors, anthropologists and journalists. Great conversations are part of the experience. Richard, the owner, is shy but friendly. The staff is very accommodating. |

Ideal Villa was enjoyable and quiet. Visited: October 2006 |

| It was my first time visiting a hotel in Haiti. My friend was staying here for ten days with her husband, and I was visiting her every day because I loved the atmosphere and the view of the hotel/apartment. The only thing I did not enjoy was the pool because of its depth. I will recommend it to my friends and family. My husband and I will stay here on our next visit to Haiti, which will be soon. Ideal Villa, thank you for letting me visit your secret garden. I enjoyed it very much. |

| This was my first time staying in a hotel in Haiti, and my friends and I enjoyed it very much. We rented an apartment. The whole place was lovely, the employees were very friendly, and the place was very clean. Two things that I dind't like about the hotel were the parking space and the pool. I don't know how to swim, and the pool was too deep for my kids and me. I will recommend it to all my friends and family, and I will stay here in the future. Keep up the good work! |

| Ideal Villa Hotel has been a second home for me for over 25 years. I have seen the hotel grow from a small inn. They offer good rooms, food, service, and decor. The only complaint I have is that the employees should be paid a better rate. That is one big example why Haiti is so poor. |

| I have traveled very much and I chose to get married in Haiti because I wanted to spend my honeymoon in Moulin Sur Mer. It was an enchanting stay. The room could have used more towels, though. The staff was very nice. The food was superb and the beach, Oh the beach! I can't wait to get back there. |

faded glory Visited: September 2004 |
|
| Posted by danebramage2002 | |
| This hotel used to be the best in Haiti during the glory days of the Duvalier regime. Now it is worn out and needing repair. Staff is friendly, but hotel lacks almost all modern amenities and comforts. Door locks / patio locks unsecure. No room safe. Windows easily accessed from outside with no locks. No cable TV. Worn out furniture and bed sheets. Extremely limited dining menu. Out of bottled water for days at a time. Owned by an elderly French couple who have let the place slowly go down and fall into disrepair. A much, much, much better choice (for about the same money) is the Hotel Montana (currently the best in Port Au Prince)...which is paradise compared to the Christopher. | |

| Moulin Sur Mer is one of the most romantic places on earth! I bet you'll love it. I recently spent a week here, and I didn't want to come back home. The staff was very nice, and always smiling. The grounds were always clean and the food was just great! I cannot wait to go back. |

This was the greatest honeymoon day! Visited: January 2004 |

| Posted by jemecrevede3 | |
| On the third of January 2004, after my wedding was over, I spent a splendid night in this hotel with my beautiful wife Nahomie. It was a dream for us to be at the Villa St. Louis Hotel. It was a beautiful place, and in a nice area. Also, they provided good reception, and the service was very fast here. They had a very nice pool, and also a perfect area to stay if you wanted to hide. The only thing I wish was that I could have made a reservation directly online. |
