Q: Hi im going to jamaica in january 2007. and was confused on what part to stay in like ochios rios or montego bay or negril...etc... i wanted to know a quick overview of them like which one has the best beaches best shooping best activities best night life etc... or if theres one that has all things thanks so much your help is greatly appreciated Answer

A: good morning to you first i most say that for a long week end and a nice place to stay I would send anyone to LA MARS RESORT in west end negril they have the best food and drink, for your night life you can check out di buss beach, riskey bisuness,
am living in ocho rios but I sure fulljoy myself to an exten because am the type of person who love good place and for my money I need to see my money's worth.. |

| A: whereas the 7 mile beach in negril is beautiful, it is touristy, and there are sandflees.. We just got back and are suffering from bites all over our legs. .Avoid the sandflees, stay at Heart beat or blue horizon ($50/night gives you a great room and ocean view) swim off the lava rock at heart beat or the cliffs at blue horizon .. no sand flees! You can't see them so you won't know you're getting bit until the next day when they welt up! eat at blue horizon .. just a few doors down from heart beat.. beautiful setting owned by jamaicans.. |

A: Negril has the best beaches by far; whether you like topless, swimsuit or clothing optional.
Montego Bay and Ocho Rios have better shopping, although Negril is catching up gradually.
Visitor satisfaction is probably highest for Negril.
Entertainment is pretty good in Negril. I don't know about MB & OR.
I say, choose Negril beach non-inclusive hotel or cottage.
