You have to go! Visited: November 2001 Posted by badger This was simply the best vacation my husband and I have had, and I can't wait to go back. The food was good (Pastafari was great). There were free snorkling trips twice a day and daily excursions that were reasonably priced. And the staff worked so hard to make sure we had a good time, we felt guilty for not tipping (which was forbidden). I am very overweight and was concerned about being on the beach. I shouldn't have been, because no one else cared. And for all its reputation, there was no pressure to do anything we didn't want to do. Visited: November 2001 Posted by harris02 I was hoping for a wild party. This was not it. Mainly swingers. I found the workers at the resort to be the rudest bunch that I have ever met. The rooms were what I would call "Motel 6" level. Clean but in no way deluxe. The beach is absolutely the greatest that I have ever seen and in the right hands, it could be paradise. Visited: October 2001 Posted by mrwindow65 Should you decide on making HedoII your vacation destination, then by all means make it so. My friends and I were thoroughly entertained, from the hostess to the "most" pleasurable atmosphere we've ever encountered. As mentioned in some of the other reviews, they offered the catamaran, snorkeling and for those dare-devils, there was even cliff diving. All were nonetheless, highly recommended. Certainly I can attest to this paradise, for my friends and I will attend once again this October, for the third time in four years. Visited: August 2001 Posted by spagnotr We spent our last week in Jamaica at Hedo II and my wife and I had a great time. At first we were a bit reserved, but once we started to relax and enjoy we had the time of our lives and are looking forward to our next trip here. The food was okay, not the best, but the Italian restaurant, disco, free booze, and nude pool/beach were sweet. Visited: July 2001 Posted by heatherstolze My husband and I went to Hedonism II expecting it to be romantic, and mildly wicked. We were celebrating my 31st birthday, just so the reader knows, we aren't elderly, and we're hardly prudes. Our room was damp and had mold growing on the walls and ceilings. The decor, and quality looks like it was last cleaned and updated in 1973. We knew there was a nude side and a prude side, and we hoped the nude side would be considerate enough not to flaunt their crotches at mealtimes or evening. Well, we hoped wrong, and we were a minority. If you aren't a swinger, don't go. That is what they cater to. We were propositioned three times the first day. No one wears clothing, or if they do...it's a piece of saran wrap or a napkin (which is what most wore to the toga party). The only positive thing that I can say is that the manager was kind and understanding when I explained that we weren't swingers, and were not happy in the slightest with our accommodations. Because my husband had already packed us to leave by the second day, they moved us to the Grand Lido Negril...which was worlds better. Visited: July 2001 Posted by bigbandfan It was my first time in Jamaica and at a Hedo resort. It will not be my last. I went with my brother and we both had the time of our lives. The staff, food, rooms, and accommodations were all first-class. We stayed during the beginning of the raining season and the staff went the extra mile to insure our activities were non-stop. One time is just not enough; it's addicting! Visited: June 2001 Posted by jcasazza My friend and I (two single 30 something girls) had a blast! We are both ready to go back in February. We had the time of our lives. Fellow guests as well as staff members are very friendly. The facilities are immaculate and the party scene is awesome (if you want it to be). This could be a lazy, relaxing vacation or a total party scene. It doesn't matter, whatever you choose you will have a great time. We can't wait to go back again! The massages at the beach are highly recommended. P.S. The food was fabulous, the service everywhere was fantastic, and the other guests were very gracious, as it was our first time. One thing we noticed when talking to many people there, was that we never met anyone else who was there for the first time! Everyone we talked to was a returning guest. We already have started saving for our next trip. Every employee, from the time we checked in until we got on the van to leave, was incredibly hospitable, unbelievably courteous, and was interested in everyone having the time of his or her lives. No wonder every guest we talked to was returning for a 5th or 7th or 16th visit. It's nearly impossible for words to describe the freedom and the closeness that we experienced as a couple. Going to Hedo with my best friend when we graduated from college. We went with no expectations, but came back amazed. From the instant we stepped off the plane, we were greeted with friendly faces. Absolutely incredible, the best time of my life! Visited: February 2001 Posted by jeserich I have been to Hedonism II twice and I have already booked my trip for 2002. I can't imagine ever going or going somewhere else. The dining staff is amazing, the entertainment team keeps you bouncing, and Dave at Veronica's piano bar is the life of the party. Our room was always kept clean by the maid service, who was incredibly hospitable. It always feels like a home away from home with a hedonistic twist. Been there several times Visited: December 2000 Posted by aherrmann My husband and I have been to Hedo on 7 different occasions. This last time we vacationed in April as opposed to December and what a difference. The MC's were rude and obnoxious. And while the beach is clothing optional, there were several folks who we call the "lookers" checking it out. Not a problem with us, but there were folks and MC's who belittled these folks and hooped and hollered until they disrobed. How very disappointing it was. Between the swingers who were extremely overt and open this season and the childish actions of the MC's, I have reservations about going back. Visited: November 2000 Posted by ATraveler The first time we went to Hedonism, we had no idea what to expect. The couple we met on the shuttle bus ride to the resort looked at each other and giggled when we asked them what it was like there. We happened to arrive on "Toga" night. Neither my wife or I knew how to tie a toga. We gave it our best shot and headed down to the dining area. The first woman I met had her toga wrapped around her forehead. The first man my wife met wore his toga like a caped crusader. We looked at each other and agreed that we were overdressed. From that moment on, we experienced the wildest and most entertaining time of our lives. Visited: October 2000 Posted by buca82 This was my first time to Hedo and after having the time of my life, it will definitely be a yearly occurrence for me. I met people from all over the country that I became friends with and have kept contact with after leaving. They too, like me, are counting the minutes untill we return. It was most certainly the wildest week I have ever had. If you think you would never take off your clothes in public, think again! Visited: October 2000 Posted by asahid68 There is nothing like the Hedo experience! I loved every minute of my stay and have vowed to return every year. I have never met so many friendly, attentive people in my life! The staff was terrific and treated me like royalty. The parties are non-stop, the food was wonderful, the rooms were just okay, but who spent time in the room? I did things I never dreamed I would do in a million years and loved every minute of it! No one stared or gawked; everyone had a “yeah mon" attitude and it was great. This is definitely the best vacation spot ever! THE BEST FOUR DAYS OF MY LIFE Visited: September 2000 Posted by DEBRALANGOR When I went to Hedonism, I was not aware of its reputation because my girlfirend booked the trip for us (needless to say, I was surprised). I loved it there! The atmosphere was very naughty, but not overpowering. I felt empowered by the ability to go without clothes. No one stared and I felt safe and natural without clothes. Everyone was really nice. I made friends quickly and we were all like one big family. In fact, I still talk to one friend I made there. The food was really good. The workers were charming the pants off of everyone. I suggest anyone single who's out for a good time to go here. I finally got my boyfriend to say he'll go there with me. Visited: August 2000 Posted by ATraveler We went here by accident. We had booked with Couples and our travel agent went belly-up. SuperClubs booked us in Hedonism to make up for the foul-up. We had no idea about the place. We went, stayed and returned (5th trip this year). It's the best fun a couple of open minded people can have in their adult lives! It's like a Frat party all week. It's, as John Wayne said, "Not for the weak." Go and have some fun! She suggested Hedonism II in Negril, Jamaica without any hesitation. Without knowing what to expect I went! Holy Sh**! Hedonism II is incredible and there was never a dull moment. Visited: February 2000 Posted by jwsatchjr After 15 years and over 18 trips to Hedo II, I still find this an amazing place to relax and enjoy the pleasures associated with such a tropical paradise. Employees are exceptional...food good..and the pleasure comes in many forms as Hedonists say. No wonder on any given week...over 60% of Hedo's bookings are repeat guests. Visited: January 2000 Posted by jvorwald This was our 6th trip to Negril, the first to Hedo. We would go back in a minute. We loved every minute. You can be as wild and wicked as you want. We were prudes compared to most and it didn't matter! Food was great; the Italian restaurant had the most beautiful presentation and out of this world tasting food!
