The resort was satisfactory. Visited: January 2004 Posted by missricky2003 Three of my friends and I went to Ocho Rios for the night, and got directed to the resort since all other hotels were fully booked. I was really pleased with the rooms and the view for the money we paid. It was nice, although the beach did have some seaweed. But I guess that was to be expected. My disappointment was that the pool had to be cleaned, so that stopped us from swimming. We just dipped our feet and chilled. Also, originally when asked if we wanted to include breakfast, we declined, but the next morning we did eat only to find the price got increased $100 since we didn't take it as part of the room. A pleasant surprise! Visited: October 2001 Posted by tkitchens My mother and I checked into Ocean Sands for one night and ended up spending our entire 12-day trip there. We loved the location, the facilities, the staff, view etc. The hotel and the rooms are not fancy, but very adequate and at a great price. The beach is small but the water is beautiful and crystal clear.
