Treasure Beach is a calm refuge away from hustle and bustle. Visited: September 2004 Posted by tdesgrottes1 I stayed at the Treasure Beach Hotel shortly after the hurricane passed Jamaica in the fall of 2004. Though many hotels had been hit pretty badly, Treasure Beach Hotel was still standing, and was able to offer great accommodations despite the recent hit. Particularly, since the south shore was hit the worst. I had a room directly on the water, which was great! Imagine, opening your doors and having the ocean right there. In addition, the staff was friendly. The rooms are very well kept with A/C, and some hotel rooms are combined with a kitchen. If you're looking for a quiet getaway, this is a good place. You won't be bothered by the staff or other tourists. It's a great refuge away from the larger cities like Montego Bay and Ocho Rios.
