Coral Cliff Hotel - Jamaica

The Coral Cliff provides good value in Montego Bay located on the "hip strip." It is a 2-minute walk from Doctors Cave Beach, and about 1 mile west from the center of town. The hotel grew from a colonial-style building that was once the private home of Harry M. Doubleday (of the famous publishing family). The public areas of this place are now busy and popular, thanks to the presence of 120 small-stakes slot machines, open to the public, including non-residents.

Many of the light, airy, and spacious bedrooms open onto sea-view balconies. The rooms come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, most of them containing old colonial furniture, wicker, and rattan. Most units have twin beds. The bathrooms are small in the older bedrooms, but more spacious in the newer wing. Each is tidily maintained and has a combination shower/tub. Jamaican and international dishes are served at Ma Lou's restaurant.
