3.0 stars Overall, it was a nice resort. Visited: May 2009

We stayed for three nights. The resort grounds were beautiful. For an all-inclusive resort, the food was overall very good. We didn't spend time on the beach (it was a rocky beach and the weather was rainy). From what I've been told, if your priority is a gorgeous beach, Negril is a better choice.

This resort was 40 minutes from the airport in MoBay. Cab was about $45 each way, and was not included in hotel stay. The main pool was loud. There were tiles coming up everywhere, and it needs renovation. The swim up bar was crowded and loud, and water aerobics was going on in one section of the pool. It was definitely not too peaceful.

The nice thing about the resort was that there were four other pools that were much quieter - so there was something for everyone. There was also a small game room for kids, another room with a few slot machines, a sports bar, and a night club.

In addition, they offered two buffets, and several restaurants - Mexican, Creole, Italian, Steak, and Asian. The gym was great, too. Men need long pants at all restaurants except for the buffets. They will turn you away otherwise.

The staff was overall nice and attentive. The locals were very warm and friendly.

We stayed in a standard junior suite. The room was nice and large, though the air conditioning didn't work too well. There was a huge Jacuzzi in the bathroom. The bathroom was nice, but small updates are needed. The lighting was horrible, and the water didn't drain well. However, these are typical issues of most islands, and you have to let some things slide.

They want you to remove your key from the energy card slot when you leave the room to save energy - but if you do, your room will be a sauna when you return!
