1.0 stars Won't return Visited: August 2001

We chose Breezes Montego Bay because being part of the Superclubs chain, you expect value, quality and service. Instead we were met with spineless, incompetent and unprofessional staff. We were banished to a small room which though well equipped, you could just about turn around in and had to turn the light on during the day. The room was never serviced at the earliest around 2 pm.

Such was the quality of the food that on occasions we were forced to abandon our meal and seek solace in nearby restaurants!

The staff appeared to have little pride in their work save for parading around and despite a large poster in the reception area displaying the company's charter, customer service was clearly not a priority.

The entertainment was so poor that you were embarassed for the local artists who were mocked by the guests.

Jamaica is a beautiful island but if you were to experience Breezes Montego Bay, you would never return.

4.0 stars If you dont have a blast, it's all your fault! Visited: August 2001

I read these reviews and got a little worried about my upcoming trip to Breezes. But when we got to the resort... first off it's only 5 minutes from the airport, so you dont have to take another flight or shuttle for hours. Next it is small enough that you get lots of attention, but big enough to have plenty to do.

The staff was so friendly and warm, we only had to ask and they gave us anything we wanted--and I mean anything. The beach was beautiful, clean, only 20 yards from the lobby, and only open to the public during the day. We had 7 am walks with maybe 4 others, 6 am all alone!

There are two indoor restaurants, buffet meals with fresh everything from jamaican style to cold cereal or sliced lunch meats for the timid. The outside grill ran nearly 24 hours with light fare and burgers and fries. Drinks from 11am... yah mon! Activities galore, line dancing, toga night, treasure hunts, arts and crafts (make your own necklace!), snorkeling-- the fish ate bread right from my hand! My husband saw a fish with lights on its back! Much more, all included. Leave your cash, they can't take tips!

The food was so good, I ate non-stop. Drinks were so good also! The service was so good, I felt pampered. We had so much fun, we forgot to suck in our bellies or worry about a thing!

Do get out and see the real Montego Bay, it makes you appreciate what you have, and you get to see how materialism has nothing to do with happiness! Over there they say everything irie! Breezes certainly was!

5.0 stars A great time in Jamaica! Visited: August 2001

My wife and myself went to Breezes Montego Bay for our honeymoon Doctors Cave Beach was a sight to see. The water was very clear, with white sand and was very clean and safe.

Breezes Mo Bay was great. We had so much fun there. Food was very well prepared with a large selection. Oceanview Rooms were very clean and had many amenities. The bar was great. A special thanks to (Anjay), who makes the best Jamaican Delights and Rum Punch I’ve ever tasted. The Entertainment Staff (Champagne, Steve, Felipa) was very energetic and had many activities planned throughout the day, including different bands nightly. The Party Cruise set up by the hotel travel desk to Dunn’s River Falls should not be missed. The staff did make an effort to learn our names and made us feel really comfortable while on property.

We are now planning a trip back in the next two years for s split stay at Hedonism III and Breezes Mo Bay.

1.0 stars Nightmare!!! Visited: June 2001

This is the worst resort my husband and I have ever seen. If we didn't upgrade (for a fee of course), we would have preferred to cancel our trip than to stay there. Here is why: little bugs and ants in room, uncleanliness of entire resort, small dirty swimming pool, plumbing fixtures leak, cd player in every room-NOT!, no available outlets in room, broken furniture with no available drawer space (limited to one dresser).

Now for the food, if you can call it that, was absolutely horrible. The pool grill fried your food in old black oil, pre-cooked burgers soaked in ???(I don't want to know).

The only good thing was the beach was beautiful. The entire resort is situated on only 2 1/2 acres. We could not believe a resort like this could remain in business. We were transferred to Breezes Runaway Bay and it was a huge step above Breezes Montego Bay.

2.0 stars We thought this was a sub par resort. Visited: December 1969

We arrived at Breezes Montego February 2, 2008. The roooms weren't ready until about 3 p.m.

We were assigned to room 407, which was a complete dump. There was mold on ceiling, and no lock on the bathroom door. Our "ocean view" was of palm trees.

We got our room changed the next day (to room 522). We could see the sea from there. The king bed was two twin beds pushed together. It took the hot water about five minutes to start. Also, there was no place to put on make up and things.

The staff was pleasant, and the food was fair to good. However, the nightly entertainment was poor for the most part.

We were told the place was just remodeled. I certainly don't believe that. It needs to be torn down and rebuilt.

4.0 stars Fabulous time had by all Visited: December 1969

We went for a wedding and had a great time. The resort had plenty of food and a great variety. The fresh fruit at every meal was wonderful. The bartenders could whip up any drink your heart desired.

The rooms were small, but who cares, because you only use it to sleep, shower and change. The water sports and activities were great. The staff were very pleasant but not pushy. You could participate in activites if you wanted to or you could just lounge by the pool without having to worry about anyone bothering you.

There was plenty to do all day long and we were never bored. We would definitely go again. We were with a group and we couldn't find anything to complain about except for the fact that our stay wasn't long enough.

4.0 stars Relaxing and carefree Visited: December 1969

Jamaica was truly paradise and Breezes allows you to enjoy all the wonders of Jamaica without a worry. The resort is merely five minutes from the airport, so we left cold, rainy New York City in the morning and were sunning on the beach by noon.

The atmosphere at Breezes was very relaxed. There was little pressure to participate in the activities, but if you wanted to there were fun things to do from morning to night.

The Doctor's Cave Beach was absolutlely beautiful- with amazing snorkeling only a few feet from shore. Food and alcohol were plentiful. The rooms were small, but we spent most of the time waterskiing, pool volleyball, on the beach, eating etc.

There were alot of couples and some groups of couples or single women, so the atmosphere was generally relaxing, but the night scene was lacking. When I wanted to dance until dawn, the disco was open, but I would be one of 3-4 people there. The Jacuzzi on the rooftop was spectacular but was way too hot to actually use.

We would recommend this resort if you are looking for a relaxing time with watersports and plenty of beach time.
