It was a fantastic holiday to remember! Visited: March 2003
Posted by burlacel
We stayed at Sandals Inn from in March 2003. The staff was fantastic and the food was great. We spent a lot of time at Montego Bay doing all the watersports (we are not ones for just laying on the beach all day).

We didn't want to come home. We had good food, and the entertainment and the staff were great. We can recommend it. It was fantastic - a holiday to remember!

Ours was a vacation to remember. Visited: August 2002

When we first arrived, we were a little shocked. It was not exactly what we imagined. The staff was wonderful. The playmakers, Rudy and Chris, were also wonderful. By the time we left, we felt like they were our friends.

It was small and intimate. We felt very comfortable with the staff and other guests. The shuttle ran all of the time, so we could go to the beautiful beaches. It was nice to come back to a quiet place and be able to go in the pool alone or listen to the performers they had at night.

This hotel was an excellnt choice for our honeymoon, and we think about it and miss it all of the time. The other resorts were fancier and more flashy, but it was more relaxing and cozy at the Inn. We can do nothing but brag about the great time we had in Jamaica at Sandals Inn. Thanks for a memorable and romantic honeymoon, it could not have been more perfect.

Sandals Inn is okay. Visited: May 2002
Posted by tpangelinan
We were at Sandals Inn for eight days and seven nights in May 2002. If you did your homework, and knew what to expect, you would be a lot happier.

The beach was public, and was more like a flea market. One bar was open, the other was always closed. As far as the food at the Inn - well, I suggest breakfast only, or buffet nights. Go to the Montego Bay Resturants, and The Royal Caribbean restaurants.

The room was excellent. We had a nice balcony with an ocean view. Play maker Rudy was cool. We saw him on TV while we were here. He really got to know our names.

Staff was on island time, and customer satisfaction was not one of their worries.
It was very clean, and the bed was excellent, and transportation to other hotels was fine.

We couldn't see any ocean from the ground floor of this hotel, though. The ten-foot wall to keep locals out also kept ocean views out.

I would only return if I got a very good deal. We spoke with people at other hotels on the plane, and cheaper places were just as good as this one, such as Holiday Inn SunSpree, and Jack Tar.

It was very, very close to airport. At the Inn, we could hear planes coming in, and at Montego Bay, they flew over our head leaving island. I would go farther away from the airport during the next trip.

The people were friendly. The horse and buggy ride was great. The dolphin swim at Ocho Rios was worth every minute of travel and every penny you spend. Make your dinner reservations the first night you arrive, and save last night to repeat one you like. The Island Resturant was the best, Tokeyo Joes was great, too.

The Inn was quiet most of the time, and we did enjoy that aspect of it compared to the larger Sandals. The exchange privliges were the best bargain.

All in all, it was okay. The cars racing out front was annoying, but the view was divine.

Not exactly paradise Visited: June 2001

Sandals Inn is a great place for a vacation. Montego Bay and Royal Caribean are just minutes away, and the restraunts there are fantastic. The beach at Sandals Inn is a very small public beach. Most of the guests did not use it. Inside the Inn is a whole other world, the food is fantastic, the employees really do get to know your name, and the atmosphere is very comfortable. Its not quite the paradise the brochure shows, but if you accept it for what it is you will have a wonderful time.

The advantages of Sandals Inn. Visited: May 2001

We got married at Sandals Inn. I must admit it was very nice and put together very well. When we arrived, however, we were not impressed. The resort does not look exactly like the brochures/advertisements.

We were first escorted to the lounge and were very disappointed. It had a stale odor. The furniture and carpet were old and worn. We were speechless because we had picked this place for our wedding and honeymoon. The rooms were old too, but not bad at all. The beds were very comfortable.

The beach was across the street and it was open to the public. We did not use that beach at all. I must give them credit for something. Again, our wedding was beautiful. Everything was great. I also had my hair done for the wedding at the resort. The service was great and my hair was beautiful. I was very, very pleased.

The service and the staff and Sandals Inn was wonderful. They treated us very good. The shuttle service was also great. It ran every hour to the neighboring resorts, Sandals Montego Bay and Sandals Royal Jamaican. These are larger resorts with more entertainment and more restaurants. We went to one of these resorts everyday. I enjoyed coming back to Sandals Inn after a day or evening at the two other resorts.

Sandals Inn was quiet and definitely had an intimate setting. If you are on a budget and want to go on a nice vacation or honeymoon, I would definitely recommend this resort. There was a substantial price difference when I booked our trip to Jamaica. It was about an $800.00 savings. If money weren’t a factor, I would choose the larger resorts. Also, if you don't like a large crowd, this would be a great choice.

We loved the inn. Visited: March 2000

We just returned from Sandals Inn yesterday and I miss it already. We were offered an upgrade to Sandals Royal Jamaican when we got off the plane but didn't take it because our friends were already at the Inn a day before us. We were glad we didn't take it. We were given "the best room" in our opinion, we had a great view. The staff were wonderful.

Shuttles run every hour to Montego Bay and Royal Jamaican. We usually went to Montego Bay for the day and sometimes for dinner. It's a five minute shuttle ride.

By the end of the week the staff either know you by name or nickname. You get to know almost everyone in the hotel. We left with many new friends and great memories.

One of my greatest memories; it will last a lifetime!! Visited: April 1999
Posted by vonibob
In April of 1999 my husband and I stayed at Sandals Inn. We chose this resort because it was part of the Sandals family yet smaller, which is more to our liking. We fell in love with this resort the moment we arrived. Having flown from the United States’ west coast we arrived after 13 hours of traveling and 3 flight changes. Needless to say, we were exhausted. We were met by the driver and within 1/2 hour we were at the resort, given a cool drink and greeted with a VERY warm welcome.

The resort is beautiful and the rooms were the nicest I have stayed in. The most memorable event happened the day we arrived. We collapsed in our room planning on taking a "short nap" and ended up sleeping the day away. When I awoke it was dark and I could hear the sound of beautiful piano music coming from outside. I went out on the balcony and was met with the most brilliant view of the Caribbean Sea. Below the poolside, tables were set up, all lit with candles and a piano player was in the background. I just stood there, knowing that this had to be one of the most amazing moments I had ever experienced. I was so relaxed and the rest of the trip continued like that.

The staff is wonderful; they get to know your name within a day. We even had a couple of the staff join us for breakfast or lunch like old friends. We renewed our wedding vows while we were there and I believe is was much better the second time around!! They do a wonderful job preparing for the ceremony and because the resort is so small we got to know a lot of the guests, so they attended. It was like having your friends there with you. I really cannot say enough about this resort except that I will return. Nothing could ever compare to that "first experience," but I know I can count on many more memorable trips. We have even kept in contact with one of the bartenders that is a wonderful person. We miss him. We visited the other two resorts in the Montego Bay area and they were much grander and offered more activities, but we were always anxious to get back to the Inn and the Sunset bar for a nightcap and visit with our newfound friends.
