This place is gorgeous. In you dream of opening a beach side bar/restaurant, this is what your dreaming of. The food is good. The prices are good for travelers, but high for the area. You can find cheaper up the road. It's worth the trip...totally. Bring your suit and swim, surf, eat, and drink. I saw coach buses there three different times. It's a well known spot. |

What a wonderful place. You would do yourself a diservice if you did not stop in and eat at Woody's. Woody and his wife Cherry are not only married, but a unit. They serve their meals with great pride. We had the veggie burgers, and they were amazing. Also, the pina coladas were the best ever made yet on this planet. Get ready for some table tennis, and keep and eye out for that Cherry - she's an ace! |

Dixie's Best Kept Secret was nothing special. The food was okay, but we expected better. It was very confined. We sat on the first level (one set of stairs down from the main door). I had to get up every time more people came in, so they could get by me to go to a lower level. It was very hot inside - there was no air conditioning. All they served was Red Stripe beer. There were no wines or other alcoholic beverages. Also, there was no music. The restauarant was very close to the road, and we could hear every car and truck go by. There was also a strong smell of what smelled like pot in the air. Our "waitress" looked extremely out of it, too. |
