It was not the best time. Visited: June 2009 |

| When we got here, the hotel was beautiful. The hotel staff was very friendly - not counting the front desk clerks. The rooms were very nice and clean. The pools and beaches were clean and beautiful, too. However, the food at the buffet was horrible. It looked and tasted like it was cooked the day before as a different dish. The restaurants we had to make reservations for were very good, but it was really hard to get reservations. The hotel blocked all calling cards (outside) besides their own. They were 20 minute calling cards for $20. It was a rip off - just to make the hotel extra money. I feel this is very unacceptable! I will not return and stay at this hotel ever! It was a bad experience after they tried to take every penny we took! |

I felt as if I was in Puerto Rico. Visited: July 2009 |

| When I arrived at the hotel, I was very excited and impressed because the grounds were beautiful. My excitement quickly dissipated, however, by the next day. The service was absolutely horrible. I had to call the front desk for housekeeping due to the fact that there were no towels in our bathroom. It took about ten rings before someone picked up the phone. I was told that housekeeping would be up to my room shortly. However, they never showed up. The staff seemed to be mainly Spanish-speaking, which would be fine if I was in Puerto Rico. I went to Jamaica to experience the Jamaican culture, and was very disappointed. There was barely any Jamaican cuisine, and barely any Jamaican staff. Also, the nightly entertainment was performed in Spanish and English. I thought it was absolutely horrible. I would never recommend the hotel to anyone looking to experience the Jamaican culture on their trip to Jamaica. Jamaica Grande hotel is a much better choice. I have stayed there several times, and it is beautiful with friendly staff. |

We are back again, and it was even better. Visited: June 2009 |

| We came back again in June. We both really enjoy this small resort. There were lots of Jamaicans here this time. The resort is very local friendly. We had a much better room this time, and enjoyed our stay even more than at Easter. We will return. |

This was the worst place ever - don't stay here. Visited: March 2009 |

| This was the worst place I have ever had the misfortune to spend one night in. The place was falling apart. I was booked for two weeks, but left after one night. The shower didn't work, the room was filthy, there were holes in the sheets, and picnic tables in the dining room. Also, two single beds were put together for a queen, the door wouldn't lock, the light didn't work, and there were ants in the bathroom. The pool was dirty, and there was no beach. In addition, the sliding door wouldn't close, and we couldn't make personal calls except with the reception phone with staff dialing and listening. The only good thing was that I got my full deposit back! Don't stay here. |

| My partner (Jamaican) and I stayed here over Easter. It was a great value for what we paid and got in return. We really enjoyed the small size and the quietness of this resort. The beach was typical north coast, but the views were lovely. The food was decent. We are back in June 2009. |

We did not have much of a honeymoon here. Visited: April 2009 |
|

| We just got back from our honeymoon, and had the worst experience. Our reservations stated honeymoon with a king bed - and I told them "honeymoon" at check in. We got to our room and it had two beds (room one). After getting a downgraded room, but a king bed, we woke up the next morning to water on the floor. Maintenance solved it by putting towels next to the wall so water could still leak everywhere (room number two). After two times of going to the front desk, asking for the manager and never getting them, the front desk changed our room. Our third room had two twin beds that were pushed together to make one. So if you slept in the middle, you sank - not to mention the lovely view of a fence with barbed wire on top. Saturday we got a note offering a free upgrade limited time if we responded by 9 am. We tried to call the front desk, but the phone didn't work. We turned in the paper before 9, and they told us to pack our stuff and be back at noon. We came back, and they only had three rooms and gave out five upgrade papers, only the first three to turn in paper got the rooms. After talking to manager, she offered free massage and champagne. However, they never called us with massage times and no one else knew anything about it. The manager totally ignored any concern I had. They did nothing special for us on our honeymoon...no upgrades, champagne, recognition, nothing! I have never been so happy to come home. I have traveled to many countries and this was by far the worst experience/vacation I have ever had! |

| If you have children, this is the only place I've found where both the kids and the adults get a real vaction. It's all about the nanny! I came here with no intention of leaving my kids with a stranger (four-year-old twins and a three-year-old son). I even tried to send her home the first day. She suggested I unpack while she got to know the kids. By the time I was done, they were in their bathing suits and sunblocked from head to toe! I was amazed at how easily I fell into depending on her. My kids adored her, and she allowed my husband and me to get some real quality time together guilt free, while the kids did every kind of activity possible. We enjoyed the time we spent with our kids so much more because we spent our nights having candlelit dinners alone. The food was good, and the activities were so much fun. We met great families who had been coming for years - and we will be one of them. I can't say enough about the staff. I never met such friendly people. From the bar staff to the entertainment staff, there wasn't one person who wasn't gracious and helpful. There was an atmosphere they have created here that is second to none. It's all about family! |

| The time I came here, it was good. I am a Jamaican citizen, and I came here for a weekend with my family. I thought the service was excellent, and the food was good. The nightly entertainment was wonderful, too. Even though money we had put aside was stolen from us, we had fun. |

Beware! Visited: July 2008 |

| Actually, even though we were disappointed at the sparse accommodations, we were doing fine here. That was until our garden bungalow was robbed! It was all downhill from there. The police were called in. The manager was very unsympathetic and disinterested in our plight. The security officer implied that we staged the robbery.....can you imagine? There were many nice employees, but the thief gave the hotel a bad reputation. Beware! I will not let this prevent me from coming back to Jamaica. However, I won't stay here. |

| I have been to Club Ambiance 18 times and counting! This is a lovely little resort with the best service I have ever had in the Caribbean. The staff goes out of their way to make guests happy and feel welcomed. I highly recommend Club Ambience to anyone on a budget who wants the best their money can buy. You can't beat it! |

We had an unpleasant experience here. Visited: April 2008 |

| My wife and I were hoping for a memorable 14th anniversary, and decided to make Club Caribbean our place of choice. We loved the "on the beach" cottage concept, and had stayed here before. When we got here, we waited for a very long time to be shown where we would stay for the weekend. I must say, I was so angry (to put it mild) to see where they expected us to stay. It seemed they converted gift shops into rooms with concrete slabs for the dressing table. I believe the beds were also afixed to the floor without even a bed head. The room was white, and lead into a bathroom without doors. We complained bitterly, but got the run around. We were given the promise about a new room the following day. We rejected that offer, and they began to tell us that foreigners got preference. That blew our tops, and we demanded a complete refund, even though they wanted to take a percentage because we were on the property. I am sorry for the "foreigners" who travel thousand of miles without the option of a refund or an option to go elsewhere. We will never go back there. As I said, we were fortunate, and went to Club Ambiance down the road from them, that was a pleasant surprise. We were treated not like commoners, but like royalty. |

We had a great time. Visited: February 2008 |

| My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Gran Bahia. The staff was very friendly. We were here in February 2008, and no construction was going on. It was a nice, peaceful stay. Some of the earlier posters said the front beach was very rocky. That was not the case when we were here. The very left side beach was ideal for snorkeling. Watch out for the locals on the beach over pricing stuff (Johnny), though. Although, we bought a necklace (from (Ziki?) for a better price then the shops. The food was excellent, espescially the Mikado. Our least favorite was Fishermans. The night shows were pretty good. They even had a show for kids every night. The room was always done up nice for us each day, and the mini bar was refilled every second day without us asking. We did go on a few excursions. Dunns Falls was a blast. Luminous Lagoon was surreal, but unfortunately, it was way to short. To top it off, the catamaran got stuck in the mud for 10 - 15 minutes, which ate into our time. We enjoyed drinking Miami Vices at the wet bar, but the sea was so much warmer than the pool. My wife and I did find that after a few days, our legs got pretty sore walking around the huge resort. I wish they had escalators! The resort is best suited for couples and families with kids. If you go, make sure you order a Bob Marley (cocktail) from the windowed bar off the foyer. |

| There is something to be said about an all-inclusive resort when you talk to people around the pool and so many have been returning numerous times (some even 15 times). This is my husband's and my first trip - not only to Breezes, but to Jamaica. We had no problem with the staff at Breezes, and service was top-notch. Sandra went out of her way to help us when we needed it. Also, I loved the fact there were no children. The beach was clean and with an abundance of chairs. There's a reason why water aerobics are held at the infinity/swim-up bar area and if it's that problematic getting a drink (which it's not), there are other bars to go to. We were just here in January 2008, and found it more than relaxing and fun. Vacations are what you make it, and some people just have to gripe about every little thing! |

For the price, it was very nice. Visited: December 2007 |

| We paid $95 a night per person, all inclusive, with a "pay for five, get the sixth night free". We were also given free pick up and return to airport with the price. We had a deluxe room. It was really very nice. It was large, clean, and comfortable. The beach area was barely adequate, though. It was small, and not so nice with weeds underfoot. The food was fine - as was the service. The resort needs some work. However, people were working on it during our stay, so, it's getting done. We prefer a resort where it's possible to walk to small bars and cafes in the immediate area. This wasn't the case here, as the street outside the resort had nothing within walking distance. We have no plans to return, but might at a later date. The distance of a one-and-a-half hour drive from Montego Bay was a bit much, and we will look for something closer. |

| My husband and I stayed at Hedo III in June of 2007. This place was the ultimate in 'Pleasurdice'. Yes, I had to make up a word to describe it. In this all-inclusive world, if relaxation is your thing, this is the place for you. If non stop partying is your thing, this is definitely the place for you. The grounds were well maintained, and the staff was second to none. This was one anniversary we both will never forget - and looking forward to repeating! |
