This is a very good hotel in an excellent location. They have great dining and bar facilities, too. Also, the staff treats you like family, and are never too busy to help. |

We just returned, and are already planning our next trip to Montego Bay.
The butler service was well worth the price. Everything was perfect! |

This hotel was great!
The staff was so acommodating, and the service was outstanding.
Also, the food, the rooms, the spa, and the facilities were all top-notch.
I would definitely go back. |

We arrived at Breezes Montego February 2, 2008. The roooms weren't ready until about 3 p.m.
We were assigned to room 407, which was a complete dump. There was mold on ceiling, and no lock on the bathroom door. Our "ocean view" was of palm trees.
We got our room changed the next day (to room 522). We could see the sea from there. The king bed was two twin beds pushed together. It took the hot water about five minutes to start. Also, there was no place to put on make up and things.
The staff was pleasant, and the food was fair to good. However, the nightly entertainment was poor for the most part.
We were told the place was just remodeled. I certainly don't believe that. It needs to be torn down and rebuilt. |

We came here on vacation September of 2006, and we loved it. The hotel was clean, and the service was great!
The food was okay, but not like home. That is to be expected, though. The jerk chicken was great! I think my husband gained ten pounds just eating jerk chicken.
Whoever says this is a bad resort, I would just respond that your vacation is what you make it. Some people just like to complain. We are going back in August 2008! |

Two friends and I came here. We spent more time at the public beach next door and in down town.
When we went to leave, my friend realized his return ticket, passport and traveler checks had been stolen out of the safe deposit box in the hotel. The hotel had the only key for it.
We will not be going back anytime soon. |

Grand Lido Braco, Montego Bay Area traveler review
What a wonderful resort. Visited: December 2006 |

Grand Lido Braco is a wonderful resort. My wife and I have stayed here four times, and we are going back in the summer of 2008.
The staff here are the best, and we have stayed in a lot of places in Jamaica. Sania and Marcia are the two best for my wife and me. They are wonderful and fun to shoot the breeze with. Everybody at this resort is wonderful.
The food here is great for an all-inclusive resort. At the French and Japanese restaurants, you have to have reservations for. However, for the rest, you do not. The Reggae Cafe is the best place for lunch. They serve great Jamaican food.
You cannot go wrong by coming here. |

A colleague and I stayed at this resort September 10-14. On the morning of the 11th, as we went for breakfast, we were greeted by this very friendly waitress (Kadian).
She had a very pleasant personality, and it was a pleasure for us to meet her at breakfast on mornings. From the second morning, she knew exactly what we wanted, and served us with a smile. She sets a very good example for other waitstaff. More waiters/waitresses with her attitude and personality would make Sunspree more enjoyable.
My colleague and I would like to publicly thank her for her pleasant and caring attitude. |

This hotel was disgrace to the Jamaica Tourist Board and the Jamaica Hotel Association.
The information on the web site was misleading and incorrect. The place has fallen apart and was in disrepair. This hotel should be officially closed.
I felt like this was definitely highway robbery, and a stay here would be unfair to innocent travelers. |

I have stayed at many hotels in the Caribbean, Europe and the United States. This was one of the better ones for the rating anywhere.
I have stayed at Blue Harbour several times, and never considered doing any reviews until I read some of the negative ones posted here.
When I came here in July, they gave me a room that I was not satisfied with. It was small, and appeared to be falling apart. I complained, and even said I would lose the money for the night and go find another hotel even if I had to pay more.
I did not have to. I was put in a bigger room within the hour. True, it was not a five-star but it was clean and quiet, and the staff was great.
It was not on the main strip, but that was part of the beauty of the hotel. You are close to the Hip Strip, and yet far enough away to get some relaxation time.
It would be nice if the hotel could be fixed up better, but I have always felt safe here. |

El Greco Resort, Montego Bay Area traveler review

Our problems started at our arrival on August 4th. We had booked and paid for a two-bedroom apartment. However, when we arrived, apparently no two bedrooms were available. We had to wait for almost one hour before we were eventually offered two one-bedroom apartments instead.
I must say the security at the resort was very good. It was so good that it was even difficult for us as registered guests to gain access to the hotel at times. Every time we left the property, we were interrogated to the point of us feeling like criminals when we tried to get back on property.
I would recommend that the security do what is done at other hotels where they take a note of the vehicle's license plate at the first instance so it would be easer for them to identify vehicles driven by guests.
I was even shouted at by one of the security guards on Saturday night the 4th of August in front of block C for stopping to get some stuff out of my vehicle. For some reason, he believed I was parking in a location - although the trunk and doors of my vehicle were open.
The problems continued when, upon returning from a function on the night of August 5th, I returned to my room (B205) to find that a section of my bed was covered with water from the A/C unit . The A/C had stopped working, and had dumped water on the bed and on the floor.
The plus was that the repairman came very quickly, and was very courteous and professional. He also apologized for the inconvenience. However, since it was after 1:00 am and housekeeping was closed, we just had to find a dry portion of the bed to sleep on that the night.
And, just when we thought it could not get any worse, we were very disturbed when we found a used condom wrapper in the bathroom over the mirror, which seemed to have been there for sometime.
I must say the breakfast served, although very small, was enjoyable.

My wife and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, and we made the right decision to stay at The Royal.
Befitting of its name, the service was incredible. Even though the resort was being updated, and there was lots of construction going on, the staff made the stay worth every penny.
Young and old alike will find this resort both relaxing and fun. Though, I would not recommend this specific resort to those looking for the constant party life atmosphere, the Royal exceeds your service expections on every front.
And don't forget, staying here you can use the other Sandals Resorts that are just a short bus ride away.
Being a cook, I could be a little critical of the food (hence the four stars) - but only a little. The service and atmosphere more than made up for any short comings in this area.
Tracy, Mario, Renee and Jason were, without a doubt, the best and the primary reason we've already booked our return visit. I can honestly say at The Royal Caribnean they all treat you like family (uh, the family you actually enjoy seeing!). |

I can honestly say that as soon as we stepped off the plane in Jamaica, we were treated with a kindness and respect that is often very hard for us to find in the USA.
My husband and I were here to celebrate our honeymoon, and to relax after the hectic planning of the past year. We were looking forward to doing absolutely nothing but having an enjoyable time.
First, let me say this - our Butlers Adia and Ellis were the main reason our stay here was so great. They made every moment a moment to remember. They noticed our specific likes and dislikes without us even having to tell them.
They also did little things for us, like bring us cold drinks at the pool at the exact time we were thinking we were thirsty. It was like they could see our next wish before we even thought of it! They also put flowers on the deck chairs they reserved for us at the pool, and sprinkled petals all over the tablecloth the first night we were here. We enjoyed a candlelight dinner in our suite.
They both came to our room in a moment's notice, and were always there to escort us to anything we wished to do. We had a beautiful picnic lunch on the private island on one of the cabana beds which was fully sheeted with crisp sheets and pillows.
It was so romantic, so sweet and so comforting. Like I said in the title.....it was as if we found Heaven! |

This is a great place to vacation. Get settled, and the staff will give you all the "dos and dont's" of Montego Bay. It's such a relaxed atmosphere!
Also, they offer free transfers to different restaurants in Montego Bay.
It's a great price, too. |

My family stayed at the Blue Harbour Hotel in June of this year.
The rooms were large, spacious and inviting. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a great place to relax and unwind.
Stay at Blue Harbour and experience the real Jamaica. It really has a "home away from home" atmosphere. We will definitely be back! |

We stayed here for a week. The hotel was clean, with fresh towels provided every day. The food at the hotel was excellent, and staff was very friendly.
The hotel was being refurbished, and it really will benefit from that. We were on a budget, but booked the room with an ocean view. It became very busy and loud at night - especially on Saturday night when it appeared all the locals descended on the public beach.
This was not a family-friendly of hotel. One night, two women (I assumed were prostitutes) invited themselves to have dinner with a lone guest! They didn't bother us, but it did not reflect well on the hotel. Also, watch out for the dodgy hustlers on the public beach stretch, they can be a nightmare.
The hotel gave us wrist bands for free entrance to the public beach. This was a waste of time! We got rid of ours, as this seemed to attract the dodgy characters! Anyway, only the locals used the public beach and we really didn't get any peace there if we went.
I suggest you pay the fee, and go to the private beach down the road. Jamaica is beautiful, but the goverment needs to educate the locals about their attitudes towards tourists if they want tourists to come back.
I would say have your wits about you and enjoy the wonderful sights. The strip was okay, but a little too commercial for me.
Please, please, please stop playing so much Bob Marley! It was overkill - especially when Jamaica has so many other reggae artists like Gregory Issacs, Beres H, Dennis B, G. Silk! Come on! Educate tourists about your beautiful music -not just Bob Marley, bless him!
We will be back, though! |

My wife and I, and friends of ours have stayed at the Blue Harbour on three occasions, and are planning to go back in
2008.
The rooms are clean, and everything works (or the staff will make it work!). People have to realize this is a two-star hotel, and it's in Jamaica.
The restaurant and poolside bar always look closed, but if you ask the cook he'll be glad to make you breakfast. Also, if you go to the pool, they will open the bar and put on some music.
It's a ten-minute walk to downtown Montego Bay, and there's a store and craft market within one block. We like this little place, and we'll always recommend it to our friends who want to experience Jamaica like it really is. |

I highly recommend staying here with kids. There is lots to do. I don't recommend it for 13-17 year-olds. There's not much for them to do except the gameroom.
Nightly entertainment was top notch. The food was varied and delicious. The beaches were immaculate. The water was warm and clear.
The hotel room itself was basic, but clean. The staff was helpful and polite. I would recommend bringing your own large drinking container. If you bring it, they will fill it. Also, bring your own beach towels.
Dunn's River Falls trip is a must, even though it is very expensive. Water shoes are a must, too.
Bring your own snorkel gear and goggles to use just off the hotel's beach. There is plenty of sealife to see. We loved this place! |

My husband and I decided to take a trip to Jamaica, and we stayed at the Breezes Hotel. It did remind me of a Motel 6 or a Sleep Inn.
We had the deluxe oceanfront suite. There were no photos on the walls, and the television was mounted up on the wall with a cable cord that had been cut and re-taped (it barely worked).
Also, the air conditioning unit had the room smelling dank and moldy. I could not stand to be in the room. My husband and I had to purchase a candle to disguise the smell that was in the room.
However, overall, the service was good. The food at the buffet was good, and the bartenders were nice. The premium beverage was the Appleton Rum. It seemed as if every drink you ordered was made with this rum. You could have ordered a Pina Colada and it would have Appleton Rum. So, get ready for your share of rum!
I don't think I will be returning to this resort. |

I have stayed at this villa 3-4 times in the past six years. It is always clean, comfortable, and has the best ocaen view and view of the golf course. You can't beat the sunsets.
The staff and security are efficient, professional and respectful. They are always up to date.
Also, this place is great for kids because of the gate around the pool. |
