Q: Hello! I am in the United States Military and am looking to take my wife and possibly our two girls (ages 5 and 8) to martinique when I return from iraq in March. We were thinking about an all-inclusive reort, but I feel Martinique may have much to offer on the economy because it is French and it is Creole and it looks beautiful. My wife likes to lay on the beach, I like to SCUBA and we both like to eat. We also all have passports. Thank you, Jim New Jersey Answer

A: HI Jim.

You are right, Martinique has much to offer and is full of charm. I would definatly take your kids--we travel with our son almost everywhere. Almost any place you go in the Caribbean you will be able to have both beach, SCUBA, and good food. An all-inclusive is a great idea if you do not want to be surprized while on your trip. Sure is nice to have meals already covered. There is a Club Med in Martinique, but it is not one for kids. If you leave the kids behind, try Club Med Buccaneer's Creek. If you take the kids you might consider Club Med Caravelle on Guadeloupe. Guadeloupe is still another French Indies island.

Have a great time.
