The Four Seasons in Nevis is an exceptional resort with accommodating staff that will go out of their way to ensure that guests have a spectacular stay. My wife and I visited the Four Seasons on our honeymoon. The initial part of our stay was wonderful. The food was terrific, the amenities were top notch, and the staff always seemed eager to assist in any way they could.
The work out facilities have everything you need to stay fit. The only slightly negative comment in respect of such facilities is that the free weights are rather limited, and go up to only 50 lbs. The tennis courts are in great shape, and include both clay courts and hard courts. The golf course looks exceptional, and was well-groomed.
All rooms have either a balcony (second floor) or patio (first floor) with varying views of the ocean or the golf course. My wife and I stayed in a room with a view of the golf course. Our balcony was equipped with table and comfortable chairs, inviting late night cigar smoking and beverages to the sound of crashig waves and singing birds. The rooms are well-kept, neat, and include a VCR, color TV with cable, sitting area, table and chairs, and a large king size, comfortable bed. My wife fell in love with the large bathroom, which includes a separate tub and shower, marble sinks (his and hers) and separate lavoratory area.
Perhaps the most telling aspect of the resorts committment to excellence was revealed mid-way through our vacation, when hurricane Lenny hit the island full force. Despite dreadful conditions, including 130+ mile per hour winds, no power, and extreme flooding, the staff at the Four Seasons, remained cheerful, responsive and accommodating, by, among other things, preparing meals in near darkness, with no power and delivering the same, through six feet of water to individual rooms.
All in all, I recommend the resort strongly. The lone draw backs are, the relative expense, and the travel to the island, which is not reachable by most airlines. For a once in a lifetime get away -- The Four Seasons Nevis is the place, or if you can afford it, I recommend frequent visits. |
