4.0 stars We were totally relaxed here. Visited: March 2004

If you're looking for an easy going place to stay on a beautiful island, The Inn at Cades Bay is the place.

We had a simple, but nice room with a hammock and patio to chill out on. We were maybe 20 yards from the shoreline, which had a sandy beach (very few rocks) and was well protected. We had this nice stretch of beach all to ourselves most of the time.

Everyone at Cades was extra nice, and even without a car, we had no trouble finding food, drink or watersports on foot. You can eat/drink at Tequila Sheila's too - it was great. We took the buses in/out of town for short trips, and Eddie can set you up with Frenchie if you need a taxi and guide to other parts of the island.

We hiked up the volcano, which was tough, and we treated ourselves to dinner at Montpelier one night as well. But, we mostly laid low at Cades Inn and enjoyed Nevis.

5.0 stars We will never stay anywhere but Cades Bay! Visited: August 2002

We just held our wedding and spent our honeymoon at the Inn at Cades Bay! We absolutely cannot say enough about the place! Eddy, Sheila and Shirley were wonderful hosts, and went way above and beyond the call of duty to make the event an incredible one for my new husband and me, and all of our guests!

Shirley assisted with every detail of the wedding and reception before we ever set foot on the island. Therefore, once we arrived, the entire event was stress-free! Tequila Sheilas breakfast and Sunday Brunch were delicious, and the dinners at Eddy's in town were fabulous!

The housekeepers were so sociable and always greeted us with a smile! We are already planning our first anniversary celebration at the Inn! If you would like a vacation filled with relaxation, and people constantly pampering you, do not even bother with the Four Seasons! Our vote is and always will be, the Inn at Cades Bay!

4.0 stars Charming and relaxing. Visited: June 2001

The hotel is in a fantastic position—the rooms open right onto the beach. My room had very good facilities and was large enough to be more like a suite. The hotel is also right on the main road, but the traffic is light and is not obtrusive. The restaurant, Tequila Sheilas, serves top-class Caribbean cuisine and is also a lively bar.

The only things that stop me giving Inn 5 stars are that the pool is a bit exposed to the road, (You might say, “Use the sea!”), and the facilities are pretty much limited to the room, the restaurant and the beach. This is fine if you want to spend your days out around the island or on the beach, but it means you have to be prepared to travel further to do anything else.

Overall though, Inn at Cades Bay is very charming, very relaxing and an outstanding value for the money.

4.0 stars A relaxing and romantic getaway. Visited: March 2001

We spent our honeymoon here in March 2001. All of our arrangements were made via their website and email. When we arrived, we knew we picked a perfect place.

Ed and Shiela were very accommodating, and we loved the whole laid-back atmosphere of the Inn and the island. Our room was spacious and the cool breezes from the ocean meant we never needed the a/c. Also, the private patio with inviting hammock had beautiful views of the ocean and St Kitts.

Tequila Sheila's served great food, breakfast and dinner. We started our day there every morning. My husband still asks for the banana pancakes a la Shiela.

Ed and Shiela were wonderful hosts, and provided great ideas for exploring the island. The accommodations were clean and bright and everyone at the Inn was very welcoming.

Our only disappointment was that there were limited amenities - no room service, no food/beverage service between breakfast and dinner. But since we didn't want a corporate resort, we knew there would be trade offs.

Nevis was a wonderful place to get away from it all, and for our ten-day stay, The Inn at Cades Bay provided a quiet, and relaxed place to call home.

4.0 stars Restful, enjoyable and a real taste of the island Visited: January 2001

We traveled with our 3-year-old daughter to Nevis and had a wonderful stay at the Inn. Eddy and Sheila took good care of us and we enjoyed the beach, pool and restaurant very much.

The rooms were clean, bright, and with the hammock outside on the veranda that kept calling to be sat in, we highly recommend the place. The views were wonderful from here, and the area was lovely.

There wasn't much around to do (unless you want to), so relaxation was the key.
Great people, great place.

4.0 stars Great beach and food! Visited: January 2000

After a nightmare first day of missed flights and disregarded reservations at another hotel, we finally got settled in at the Inn. Though the bar was closed, Eddie got us some beers to cool us off and did we appreciate it!

We had the beach almost to ourselves for the time we were here, the snorkeling was great, the room very nice (the staff responded quickly to our reporting an ant problem), and the food was incredible!

The Inn saved our vacation and they were so gracious. We recommend the Inn to anyone going to Nevis!
