Q: My wife and I are going to go on a cruise out of San Juan, Puerto Rico in March. We need to know the name of a nice hotel/motel to stay at as we are coming down a day early. Something on a beach , not too far away (15 miles or so ) from the cruise boarding docks. Can you help?

| A: The Pan American Pier is just South of Old San Juan, really anywhere in the San Juan area is close. My favorite Old San Juan hotel is El Convento, but some people do not think it is fancy enough. Here is a list of San Juan Hotels sorted by price. |
