There was unbearable noise caused by construction work. Visited: July 2003 Posted by rita_vanhauwermeiren Unfortunately, the hotel did not come up to our expectations and was not in accordance with what was promised in the brochure. We were more than annoyed and irritated about the unbearable noise caused by the constuction work outside of the building which started as early as 6:00 am! It was impossible to have a good night's sleep. There was also renovation work inside the hotel being carried out at the same time untill 10:00 pm, which also was disturbing. Any relaxation at the pool was not possible due to the conditions described above. We were unable to prepare properly for the World Masters Athletics Championships. When we complained, nobody cared! Administracion deficiente Visited: July 2003 Posted by garfieldjafigue Separe dos habitaciones para el dia de hoy 25 de julio de 2003 y cuando fui al check in a pesar de dar mis numeros de registros no apareci segun ellos en el registro de la computadora. Did you find this helpful? Everything could be cleaner, but it?s close to beach. Visited: March 2003 Posted by kevinpfeil During my stay this property was under renovation. There?s new furniture and the rooms were painted, but some cosmetic details in renovation have been overlooked. The bathroom door hinges were covered in rust. Baseboard trim was falling off the wall. Construction materials were stored in the stairwells, but you could get past the stored items. There was also dirt on floor in corners of the Elevator and the rooms. Vending machines as well as my hair dryer were not working. There was air conditioning, Cable TV, outdoor pool and whirlpool, two small and slow elevators. The continental breakfast was okay and the exercise room was small. It was, however, only a 5 to 10 minutes walking distance to Walgreens, Pizza Hut, Wendy's, Subway, Marriott Hotel, or other nice restaurants or small grocery stores. Ride the city bus to Old San Juan for 25 cents. Ride the trolley thru Old San Juan for free. Both make several stops. The front desk will also call a taxi for you if needed.
