It was terrible - do not get fooled by the pictures and rating. Visited: August 2006 Posted by evepuertora I found the facilities to be very old, dirty, and dangerous. The balconies were deteriorating, and the rooms smelled bad. Also, I thought customer service was awful. The people were rude to me and slow. Almost half of the machines in the casino were out of order. In addition, guests had to pay for parking. I do not recommend Diamond Palace Hotel and Casino to anyone who wants to relax in a beautiful, friendly environment. 1 users found this review helpful. 1 found this review unhelpful. It was clean, with a nice casino, and was in a reat location. They also had live music on the weekends. Thank the good Lord it was only for one night! First, when I arrived, I was ignored at the counter, and I booked a room on the higher floors of the hotel. I did not know the reason why I wanted this, but later that night I found out. I was told that I could not have a room on the higher floors. So, he gave me a room on the fourth floor. He did not even say "I am sorry". The rooms were old and dirty. I was told that my room was still being cleaned when I arrived. However, when I went to my room, it was still dirty. The blankets looked as though they had not been changed. In addition, there were holes in the walls, no hot water, and my husband and I were awakened by a truck blaring its horn on the street at 3:00 am. There were so many people on the street, it was so loud we could hardly sleep.
