We would definitely stay here again! Visited: September 2007

My mother and I took a mother-daughter vacation, and stayed at the Miramar for a week. It was a wonderful place to stay!

The hotel was beautiful, and the staff - especially Ramon, Sylvia, and Jorge (and others that I can't remember their names) - were very accommodating and helpful! They gave us directions, recommendations on places to eat, and wanted to hear of our adventures daily!

I loved the area that it was in, as I wanted to see more of authentic Puerto Rico than the Americanized version that I felt I would've gotten at the Hilton, or other resorts.

There was a pharmacy across the street with some very reasonable souvenirs. Los Pinos Cafe, also across the street, had some wonderful Mofongo.

In addition, the hotel had a very nice continental breakfast, and since parking is so hard to find in San Juan the private parking was a lifesaver!

The sundeck had a beautiful view, too!

Overall, I wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else!

The parking here was bad. Visited: July 2007

The hotel was very nice, and the rooms were very good. However, the parking was terrible. You have to leave your keys with the employees, so they can move your car. When I got my car, I had parking tickets on it. I hope they pay for it!

This was the worst hotel I have stayed at - ever. Visited: March 2006

The rooms were old, but relatively clean. The location was awkward. Also, there was only one elevator that did not always work, and the staff did not seem to care (I was told that I would have to climb six floors to where my room was).

If I could give it zero stars, I would. I will never stay here again - nor would I recommend it to anyone. I will not allow anyone from my office stay here.

We stayed at hotel Miramar. first of all the hotel looks nothing like the pictures. Secondly we were charged for a contenntial breakfast that was supposed to be free. I was not very pleased. The elevator is old and looks dangerous. The hotel could really use some work. Not to mention they lock the front door at night, and your are out there waiting for the front desk personal to unlock the door, and that is if they are awake. Never again.

This was a great hotel. Visited: March 2003

When going to Puerto Rico, I was expecting the worst because it was so inexpensive. To my suprise, the rooms were clean, the staff was extremely helpful, and it was close to everything.

The hotel had all the basics if that is what you are looking for. The person at the front desk helped us choose, and even called to arrange excursions for us to go on.

There was a beach just a ten-minute walking distance (however, I do suggest taking a public bus and going to Isle Verde for the better beaches). The casinos, shops and major restaurant chains were also ten minutes away. Overall, I would definitely stay at Miramar on a return visit.

It is not a luxury hotel, but the room is clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a clean, inexpensive place to stay - this is it. I was very happy here and would return again.
