Don't miss Bravo Beach! Visited: January 2006 |

We just returned from a special stay in Vieques, and we loved The Bravo Beach Hotel.
Thomas, the manager, was wonderful. He definitely seemed to work too hard!
The best rooms were three through seven. They were simply furnished and included Frette linens and robes. Everything was white and impeccably clean. All of the rooms (except one and two) overlooked the water. If travel is with two couples, there was a two-bedroom apartment, and it was lovely.
The food (tapas) was served Thursday-Sunday, and was delicious. Food service was outside overlooking a pool and ocean - it was beautiful. Beach chairs and coolers were available for trips to perfect beaches. Red and Blue were our favorites.
Restaurants of choice were Media Luna and Tropical Baby. Rent a four-wheel-drive vehicle, because getting to beaches was sometimes rough. But it was worth it for the white sand and blue water shaded by palm trees! |

They know what you need to really enjoy this island - and they provide it. As simple as it seems, they had a great Continental breakfast, great "whatever you want" packed picnic lunch/drinks, beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, and snorkel and boogie board stuff.
It was also easy to make reservations for dinner and other things around the island. We loved the tapas bar/restaurant. We would return to Vieques and also to Bravo Beach Resort. |

We stayed at the Bravo in August. It was a great location (secluded and private). They also had great food and a very attentive staff. The ocean view from our balcony was awesome!
Bravo Beach is greatly recommend to all. It is the best romantic place in Puerto Rico. |

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful seven-day vacation in Vieques. A big part of our positive experience was the friendly, personable, and helpful staff at Bravo!
The room was really nice. We stayed in room number five, directly above FoodSpace, overlooking the pool and serene ocean view. It was great to wake up every morning and fall asleep every night to the sound of the ocean's waves.
We enjoyed a fantastic dinner during one of FoodSpace's Bistro Nights. In fact, it was one of the best meals that I have ever had. The scallop and edemame ceviche will linger in my mind for some time to come.
However, what really made our trip was the personalized service and personable approach of the Bravo and FoodSpace staff. Marietta provided restaurant and activity recommendations, JoAnn remembered every morning how my wife and I liked our coffee, Roberto always had a cheerful smile and warm greetings, and we received a chilled bottle of wine and flowers in our room upon arrival.
Christian, Mark and the entire staff have done an excellent job in creating a relaxing and comfortable oasis. We are already planning a return trip....maybe a stay in the villa, to bring family along. |

We had a wonderful time in Vieques, and the management's extra mile approach and impeccable service contributed to our awesome experience.
From the first telephone contact I made with the
front desk to the great effort of Liz for our return flight, we anticipated that Bravo was a great property to stay at. But our expectations were surpassed by the hospitality of all of the personnel at the property and we are all thankful for the good care Bravo gave us.
The food was great and the amenities in the rooms were superb. When we think of visiting Vieques again in the future (which will hopefully be soon), we will think in Bravo as the place to stay.

As a surprise present, I took my husband for the weekend to Vieques island (our first time there) to celebrate his 40th birthday. We had the opportunity to stay for two days and one night at Bravo! And we could not have been more pleased.
The manager and the resort personell were very courteous and were always at hand for any information or service needed.
Our room had a white minimalist touch (walls and curtains) that complemented the beautiful wood design furniture. A modern glass-metallic station provided support for a TV with dish service and play-station2 installations. Air conditioner, a small refrigerator, hot water and a hair blower completed the amenities that made our stay comfortable and independent.
Probably the best feature the room had was its ocean view. A transparent glass wall led us to a private balcony for two: it overwhelmed our senses having a 180 degree view of the “downstairs” beach cost line: a plus for romance!
Another great feature was the downstairs deli. They had great products, and very nice people who made good name to the word “service”.
And Chef Michael and his wonderful assistants pampered our “sight and taste” with their diverse combination of different fresh gourmet food during our stay, or to take to wherever we went. Eating there was a marvelous experience: people interacted happily with one another recommending the different alternatives from the menu.
There were also delicious pastries, appealing food presentations, original combinations of mixed juices and a good selection of imported wines that made our day awesome. This was certainly an asset to our weekend trip! Thank you very much! |

Our stay at Bravo! was delightful! Mark and Christian personally made sure that our stay was comfortable and relaxing. It was amazing to be in the Caribbean yet to have the luxurious feel of New York City with a beautiful ocean view.
Having Chef Michael's Food Space just below our room allowed us to enjoy gourmet food and wine while watching the waves crash along the shore. We had an exquisite experience at Bravo! and anxiously await our return! |
