5.0 stars It was breathtaking. Visited: August 2008

Driving into the resort, we immediately noticed they were doing construction. We were very nervous about what kind of place we were staying at. We were totally surprised.

Pulling up, it was totally beautiful. The service was excellent. Our bags were taken up for us.

The entire resort was beautiful. I loved the pool. It stretched far, therefore we were not crowded with other patrons. I loved the swim-up bar, too. The spa was wonderful, and the food was excellent.

Everyone there was very helpful. I loved my stay. It was a very excellent place to stay.

3.0 stars It's nice, but needs some improvement. Visited: May 2008

I took my family here in May 2008, and we stayed for a week. It was at the end of a long peninsula and in the Rio Grand.

If you are into golf, I would recommend it. The peninsula was a golf course all the way to the end. They had the PR Open there this year, and it was very crowded!

The resort itself was nice, but the beach was not. Repeat - was not! There wasn't anybody on the beach, everyone was around the pool. They boast that the pool is the largest on the island. I wouldn't know for sure, but the pool was nice.

They need to turn this resort into a beach resort! The beach needs lots of money spent on it - and lots of work.

The restaurants were fine inside the resort, but there wasn't much outside in the Rio Grande area. You are kind of out on your own at this resort. You probably will end up renting a car and driving to Old San Juan.

We might go back, but not for ten years or so. Don't get me wrong, it was a nice place, but there were drawbacks (including thefts of personal property - ex. laptops). If you go, make sure your room is not on the ground floor - as there are too many workers walking around and these rooms are easy to get into.
