My husband and I spent our last two days in Puerto Rico (out of seven) at the Luquillo Beach Sunrise Inn. We found such amazing hospitality at this hidden away inn on the beach!
They offered excellent restaurant referrals and perfect directions for the Bio Bay and catamaran ride in Fajardo. We had an easy time finding our way around in the rental car because their directions were so accurate!
Also, we cannot say enough about the wonderful morning breakfast they offered! We would recommend this inn to singles, couples, families and elderly people. Thanks for making us feel welcome! |

This bed and breakfast is a wonderful find, and a great respite from greater San Juan.
If you're looking for a little peace and quiet, with not too many "frills" within 30 minutes of the airport, try Luquillo Sunrise. The rates are reasonable, and the staff is super friendly. |

We spent four nights at the Luquillo Sunrise. It was a wise choice!
The hostpitality offered by Gary Neff and his staff was exemplary! If you've rented a car, this hotel puts you in position to enjoy lots of great activities on the east coast.
I understand the 14 rooms are usually filled. I recommend you book early!

This is a great place to stay if you are going to stay in the east side of Puerto Rico. The location is excellent. There is a great surfing beach in walking distance, and the Blue Flag Beach (Balneario de Luquillo) is just five minutes distance by car.
They are also near the Puerto Rico national rain forest (El Yunque), and the Luquillo Kiosk (kiokos) that have great seafood and a relaxing and cool night life.
The service was great, and they offered a different hot breakfast every morning. It was a great change from the traditional continental breakfast.
If you want a good, cozy place with great service, the Luquillo Sunrise Beach Inn is for you.
Sincerely;
Miguel Vazquez

The Inn was right across the street from a surfing (not swimming) beach. You can walk about 20 minutes away to a safe beach for swimming - or drive 2 minutes.
The Inn is a new property, and the rooms were spotless and comfortable. Every room had an ocean view, and a private balcony with chairs. The property was not "beautiful," but well maintained and quiet.
The breakfast was good, but the best part was the amount of helpful information they have collected in books and guest comments that will help you plan your stay. They had restaurant books, as well as activity ideas, pamphlets and advice.
I will definitely stay here again, but there was not a lot going on in the area in early-November. Many restaurants were closed, and we definitely had to drive to them. There was not a lot of touristy-related things in the area, but this was the real Puerto Rico, not an all-inclusive resort.
Two things to improve: I would have liked a mini-fridge in the room: and the outside floors and halls were extremely dangerous and slippery when it rained. |

If you want a wonderful, small hotel on a beautiful, mostly deserted beach - this is the place for you.
Every room has a small balcony overlooking the beach that is just steps away. They serve a fabulous breakfast out on the balcony overlooking the beach (it is included in the price of the room). In addition, the staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
I will definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from the oversized, overpriced hotels on most of the other beaches. |

What a wonderful place to stay. It was very clean and comfortable; and they provided great service.
It was also in an excellent location, right across from the beach with views from balconies. A full breakfast was included. All the Luquillo needs is a pool.
I am definitely staying here again. |

This is a new facility that was built in 2007. It was clean, with a beautiful view of the ocean, and easy access across a quiet street.
The folks running it, Suzy and Damien, were so helpful. The beach towels and chairs were terrific. I also enjoyed a nice breakfast in the morning.
I would definitely stay here again! |

If you want to be treated like a million bucks and not spend a lot, you must stay at the Luquillo Sunrise Beach Inn.
This ocean front property gives everyone who stays their own balcony view. Enjoy swimming, tanning, boogie boarding, fishing, people watching, walking on the beach. Free beach towels and folding chair are available as well, as equipment rentals for a nominal fee.
The staff is so very welcoming and available. Its location brings you close to a major highway and shopping areas in the island.
It does not have its own restaurant. However, the restaurants close by, the free homemade breakfast on site, and the kiosks up the road will never leave you hungry.
Its proximity to El Yunque gives you an attraction you must not miss. My family came here for our family reunion, and after visiting so many locations throughout the island, we found this one to be our number one spot.
We can't wait to make another trip, when we can come and stay at the Luquillo Sunrise Beach Inn. |

It was beautiful, convenient, and reasonably priced. It was a great place to spend a few days - with a hot breakfast cooked to order included!
The owner spent 15 minutes with us explaining local beaches, restaurants, sight-seeing, what-to-do-and-how-to-get-there type of things. This 15 minutes made all the difference in the world.
I wish we'd stayed longer! |

What a nice location for the best of both worlds. We were just a few minute drive to the Majestic views of El Yunque, and then a jump across the street to a wonderful, underpopulated beach.
The service was big compared to the inn's size. There were a lot of extras that added to our stay. |

This is a very comfortable, peaceful and friendly guesthouse. It is kept clean, and the rooms are well equipped for the price. It looks exactly like it does in the photos.
Also, it is directly opposite a nice beach where you can have surf lessons, or walk round the bay to a safer beach to swim in.
The area is okay, and developing into a resort. However, you really need a car if you stay here. |

This was, by far, one of the best accommodations we had throughout the island (on a two-week trip). They went above and beyond the entire time!
The service/staff was impeccable, providing us with advice, maps, and just a friendly conversation at any moment.
The rooms were very clean and quite quaint, with a lovely view over the ocean.
The food (hot and cold breakfasts) was also delicious.
It was a great location to many local attractions, tourist areas, and activities. We would come here again without a doubt!
If you are coming to Puerto Rico, you need to make the Luquillo Sunrise a stop in your itinerary! |

For a delightful beachside inn in the El Yunque Rainforest area, I highly recommend the Luquillo Sunrise. It is a new inn, and was nicely appointed.
The sunrise seemed to be made for the inn, as it rose directly across from our private balcony.
The staff (English speaking) was very friendly and helpful. It was as if we were enjoying the hospitality of friends rather than encountering hotel staff.
The breakfast (included in the rate) offered a variety of fruits, pastries and juices - as well as house specialty items with a Puerto Rican flair.
A lovely stretch of beach was directly across from the inn, and a short walk brought us to turtle nests.
With a stay here, discount certificates are available for the snorkel catamaran Spread Eagle II (also highly recommended for a day on the ocean - even for non-swimmers like me!). |

What a great place. It was just across from a beach, and was relaxing and enjoyable. They had incredible customer service (Demian was wonderful A+).
In addition, the beach chairs and towels were provided for the guests' convenience.
It was not the popular "big resort" type of place. You would need a car to get around, but it was real close to El Yunque.
I will be back for another relaxing getaway. |

This was my best find ever for a reasonably priced vacation place. We don't like the big gated resort type of vacations, but this place had all the things we'd want in a Caribbean holiday.
We were right on the beach, the staff was great, the rooms were clean and secure, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. In addition, the location was convenient to other tourist attractions.
All the rooms had a balcony facing the beach, so every guest can enjoy the wonderful, mesmerizing surf and sea breeze all day long. It was as nice as it seems from the Internet.
The price initially scared us. It was so reasonable compared with other Caribbean venues. But this was the real deal. We loved this place, and will go back to enjoy it again. |

We recently spent several days at the Luquillo Sunrise Beach Inn prior to a cruise leaving from San Juan. A short drive from San Juan, and a world away from the city, this was a wonderful little Inn overlooking the ocean.
Although we were not able to stay in a balcony room, our room was very comfortable with all amenities. Also, it was just steps away from the gated parking area.
Excellent breakfasts were served on the upstairs covered deck area with a gorgeous view of the ocean to start the day.
We utilized the computer in the common room, and spent some time in the hammock chairs on the deck.
The front office staff was excellent, and arranged excursions to Bio Bay (really fun, we were lazy and took the motorized tour), and a catamaran trip to Culebra to snorkel. It was great that the Inn provided beach towels and chairs for us to take to the beach.
The owners and their staff were friendly and accommodating, and did everything possible to make our stay memorable.
We highly recommend this Inn to all. |
