4.0 stars The Lazy Parrot is quiet, relaxing, and intimate. Visited: February 2003

We stayed for two nights and enjoyed the tranquility and friendliness all around us. The staff and the owners were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious enough for my husband and me, with a small patio, which was great for relaxing with a glass of wine before dinner. The continental breakfast was also very good, with island pastries. We also enjoyed dinner and the great frozen drinks. We intend to go back.

We spent four nights at the Lazy Parrot and were quite pleased.

Our room was a bit small with limited drawer space when compared to larger hotels, but it was very clean, well kept and comfortable, and in our experience quiet.

Management was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was excellent. The garden and pool areas were very pleasant; one could spend a lot of quality relaxation time there.

As long as guests realize that it is a small inn and that it is a fair distance from the water (you need a car), no one should be disappointed with it.

3.0 stars A cozy atmosphere. Visited: March 2002

We enjoyed our two nights at Lazy Parrot. However, we would not recommend paying the extra money for a water view - the water was quite a distance away and the view was marred by lots of electrical lines. We were also disappointed by how much traffic noise we heard.

It was a nice place to stay - clean and roomy, but we didn't like it as much as some of our other locations in Puerto Rico.

The restaurant was quite good and the staff was very nice. Also, there were lots of little "nooks and crannies" amongst the outdoor vegetation to enjoy a cool drink. The pool area looked delightful, though we didn't have an opportunity to use it.

This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay. We stayed 1 week during the holidays. It’s clean, quiet, and very relaxing with beautiful grounds and views. The personnel is very warm and friendly. A definite value for your money.

I would highly recommend Lazy Parrot & definitely return. Rincon itself is an ideal setting. Gracias a todo el mundo!

4.0 stars Very enjoyable and a good value Visited: April 2000

We stayed at the Lazy Parrot for three nights (April 13-16, 2000). We truly enjoyed this family owned inn. Personal touches everywhere showed the time and care that went into putting this operation together.

The meals here were wonderful. We tried varied choices from the menu and each was delicious and prepared to our liking. We could have stopped at restaurants while out sightseeing, but wanted to wait until we returned to the wonderful meals the Lazy Parrot served each night.

The complimentary breakfast each morning was very nice - pastries from the bakery next door, juices, cereals, fruits, coffee and tea.
The personnel were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere at the Lazy Parrot was very calm and restful. A great place to unwind.

4.0 stars Quaint, comfortable inn off beaten path Visited: January 2000

Our family of five stayed here with some friends from Puerto Rico and we all really enjoyed it. The staff is friendly, and the resort is quiet and close to the beaches. The restaurant is pretty good, although don't expect speedy service, ever. They truly are on "island time" here. A fine continental breakfast is included and is a nice touch. We had an upstairs room, which was clean, light and airy and had a view of the Caribbean Sea. The bar and pool areas were great, as well. This is not fancy; it is a casual and cute place.

I strongly recommend staying at "The Lazy Parrot" in Rincón. A quiet and pretty parador, it's close enough to everything in the area but at the same time it invites you to stay in it's cozy and well-equipped rooms. Very clean, decorated tropical-style with excellent service which makes it one of the best places to stay in Western Puerto Rico, especially if you are searching for some peace and quiet (they have a curfew for party spirits at 11:00 p.m.). We didn't get around to eating at their restaurant, though.

It is a place to which I plan on returning many times year-round.

4.0 stars Comfy, cheery, charming, relaxing, & off the beaten path Visited: December 1969

We really enjoyed our two nights at this 11 room renovated house, located about a 2-1/2 hour relatively easy drive (watch the hills/curves tho') from San Juan. The Lazy Parrot is clean, and charmingly painted and decorated, from the rooms to the colorful restaurant which has chairs and tables in all colors; original artwork throughout the lobby area. Staff friendly and helpful. Our room was located off large upstairs front balcony. It felt very private, with only one other room accessible from the shared balcony.

We spent much time sitting on the balcony's comfortable sofas/chairs overlooking hills, street, and distant ocean. Sit here early a.m. and listen to the roosters! French doors lead from balcony to comfy, clean room with double bed, daybed/sofa, chair, desk, TV, small fridge, large closet, bathroom (with low water pressure...). Window A/C and ceiling fan kept us cool. Very nice porch at entry to house also has comfy seats.

Nice pool and jacuzzi area with pretty garden. Dining in restaurant (with fantastic view of hills and ocean--great sunsets from here!), bar or in garden. Continental breakfast included, but not notable, except for the setting, which is beautiful! Shop next door handy for pop, munchies, etc.

Nice, unspoiled and laid-back area from which to explore western PR. We would happily stay there again for longer than 2 nights. The other guests, were a mix of young and old, some family. Seemed to us the owners intended to provide a respite with many comfy seats that seem to beg visitors to "relax and sit a spell..."
