This was a very friendly and clean place to stay. It had a wonderful view of the Caribbean.
The food and service were great, and the beaches were second to none.
My wife and I, and our daughter, just stayed here in July. We are already looking forward to next year! See you at the Trade Winds! |

We enjoyed the convenience of Tradewinds, which was within walking distance of everything- Sun Bay (our favorite beach on the island!); kayak rentals (great exercise!); cute shops (although we bought all our tee shirts at Tradewinds gift shop- great selection!);and bars.
We did some great snorkeling right in front of Tradewinds. The restaurant was amazing. We can't wait to come back!
Although our room was fine, the next time we're going to try and book an upstairs suite (they only take reservations on these a month in advance). Regardless of which room we get, we will always stay at Tradewinds! |

The rooms behind the ocean front bar and restaurant were small, but nicely decorated in a Caribbean style.
My family or I have stayed at 9- 10 different places on the island and by far Trade Winds is the best in the small guesthouse category.
The gift shop, great sunset views in bar or all day views of the lovely Esperanza Bay will always keep a smile on your face.
The rooms are not luxury category, but are great basic rooms and what you miss in luxury category is made up in friendliness, the restaurant and great location right across from the beach. |

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights in July. Our room had no air conditioning, but the two wall fans and one ceiling fan cooled the room just fine.
Our room had three comfortable beds, a bathroom with hot water, and a small refrigerator. Our back door opened onto a patio, which was shared by two other guest rooms.
We loved the restaurant. The service was friendly and quick. Plus, the food was wonderful and not too pricy. Best of all, the staff always went out of their way to help and to make us feel welcome.

I stayed with Janet and Harry for a few days by myself and I couldn't have picked a better spot. The entire staff is really friendly and the bar staff really knows how to mix a rum punch! The restaurant serves fantastic food with almost all entrees less than $20, a real bargain for the quality.
The guesthouse is in a great location right on a small beachfront. It's a great place to go and chill out. There are a handful of bar/restaurants, a dive shop and that's it. If beaches are your thing, then you're in luck, there are fantastic, huge beaches within easy walking distance (15 minutes). There is also plenty of hiking, but not on the Military Base!

We spent a few days in Vieques, Puerto Rico to "get away." Trade Winds offered simple and clean accommodations. It was nothing fancy, just nice and simple. The bar/restaurant was closed during the summer months, so we didn't have a problem with noise or crowds! |
