They have great food! |
|
| Posted by laughter63 | |
| We have eaten here two times since being on the island. The food is good, the service is friendly, and the iguanas are cool! Sometimes the tip is included in the total bill, sometimes it's not, so study your bill carefully! They include 15%, but I always tip at least 20%, so they screw themselves by doing this. For a large party, I understand, but for an adult & two kids, not good. And the server should tell you the tip is included in the total. Anyway, the atmosphere is great, I will go back again! |

Raices provided excellent food, service and Mojitos. |
|

| My wife and I love this quaint restaurant in Old San Juan. The Mojitos are excellent - as is the Pina Coloda that is served in a tin cup (it was hard to limit myself to two). The food was excellent. I recommend the Churassco Tornado - at $25 it is the most expensive item on the menu, but it will blow your mind with flavor and tenderness. The service was also excellent, and the staff was very friendly with a focus on the customer. I recommend you stop at Raices - enjoy the Puerto Rican/Cuban food and top it off with a good hot cup of Joe and the Three Leches cake...you will not be disappointed! |

It was amazing! |

| My husband and I just ate breakfast here, and it was amazing! I had a ham, egg, and cheese on a Spanish danish. It was so good. They put tons of butter and powdered sugar on it. I know, it does not sound great, but trust me - it was! | |

What a fun place - we loved it! |

| This is the most fun place to go in Rincon. It has everything. What a great location on Maria's beach. You can sit back, relax, and watch the best surf. We also enjoyed the beautiful sunsets from the balcony at Happy Hour! We loved the fresh local grilled fish and other tasty dishes at a very reasonable price. Their famous rum punch was certainly a hit with everyone. You can also shop at their two stores. They have lovely tropical clothing and surfwear for the kids. We just loved it, and can't wait to go back next year for another vacation. |

Experience a taste explosion at Shipwreck. |
|

| I love a great surprise, and Shipwreck gave me one. Walking in, we were greeted by a lovely hostess, friendly bartenders and smiling waitresses. Then, we ordered appetizers and were blown away by the homemade Jalapeno poppers, fresh mahi taco, and even the fried calamari. I would have eaten there every day if I could. |

| I stayed a week in San Juan. The first two days, I went to other restaurants. However, they were nothing like this one. it's great! They offer big portions, great service and cheap prices! The Mojitos and the sangria are very, very good. You have to try it! |

It was great, and with huge portions! |

| On a recent visit to Rincon, we found this restaurant. It was recommended by someone at the guest house we stayed at. We loved the food here, and the "island" atmosphere. The locals we met at the bar turned out to work for the dive shop attached to the Shipwreck. We ended up taking a snorkeling trip with them the next day to Desecheo Island. We had the jalapeno poppers, calamari, fish tacos, hamburger, and great key lime pie. We pigged out, and loved every minute of it! |

Try the soup! |

| This is a beautiful restaurant set in the middle of a faux rainforest. I received excellent service, and the presentations were impressive. The lemongrass coconut miso soup was wonderful. The seared tuna appetizer was also very good! I will be back! |

Great place but their excellent chef quit |
|
| Posted by r_agelviz | |
| This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. Great food, excellent service and the best atmosphere. But we recently went with some guests and to our surprise they had a new chef. The food was OK, but his main-favorite ingredient is "curry" and we did not get a fair warning when we ordered. Curry makes me sick so they had to change my plate and I was unable to enjoy the appettizers. If you like curry, this would be a good alternative, otherwise, ask before you order. | |

So-so service, good food |
|

| After being seated, I wasn't waited on for 10 min., and the place was almost empty. The waitress could not answer any of my questions about the menu and had to go back each time and take time to find out. Eventually I got up and asked the chef myself. He insisted I order a sword fish tartare (good), and the main dish was the snapper papillote (in a bag), also good, although it included vegetables that were not mentioned in the menu. As a courtesy appetizer they give olives and cheese bread on a martini glass, which was a nice touch. Again, what was most surprising was the amateur service. I was staying at the Marriott across the street, and considered the prices better overall at Sjalotte. | |

Best Burgers in Puerto Rico |
|
| Posted by ropeni | |
| This place is located right in the midle of el Yunque National Rain Forest They served the best burgers that me and my family have ever tried, they are covered with the owner's secret sauce and are great, they also have a churrasco sandwich which is outstanding. If you travel to El Yunque give it a try, you won't regret it. |
