| The price was reasonable, and the staff was increadibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also included. It was across the street from a surfing beach, with a swimming beach just a block away. Only a pool, a firmer mattress, and AC in the second bedroom would enhance it. I loved this place! |

This is a great place to stay for those looking to relax. Visited: October 2008 |

| My wife and I stayed at one of the villas and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Since we stayed in the low-season, it seemed as though we had the resort all to ourselves. The villa was as advertised, the resort itself was beautiful and the staff at the villas were very nice. I would recommend you rent a car, if possible. It's just a lot cheaper to leave the resort for your meals than it is to stay and pay resort prices. Bottom line, my wife and I will be going back. |

Luquillo Sunrise Beach Inn provides relaxation - at a price. Visited: August 2009 |

| Compared to the rooms, services, and amenities of other hotels in the San Juan area, the price here is outrageous. But you're not paying for that, you're paying for the view and proximity to the beach. Even though the beach in front of the hotel is not worth visiting, it is pretty. The rooms look cheap, but they are clean and furnished with the necessities. The atmosphere is casual and laid back, as are the staff. Free breakfast on the terrace is fresh and relaxing. Given the view and the atmosphere, it would almost be worth it, if there weren't constant reminders to turn off electrical devices (including A/C) if you leave the room. You would think, at these prices, you could keep your room cool. |

Ocean Villas II - Rio Mar rocks! Visited: July 2009 |
|
| Posted by songman | |
| We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was the perfect combination of privacy and amenities--as the villas were adjacent to the Rio Mar Hotel, so we could avail ourselves of the hotel restaurants and activities, and still escape to what was a very private and quiet villa location. Also, the beach and pools for the villas were extremely quiet and private, unlike the hotel itself. So if you want some activity, you can have it at the hotel. Privacy, at the villa. The villas were beautifully maintainted and appointed, quiet, and private. The grounds were also extremely well maintainted. One of our only problems was that our view of the ocean from the patio was obscured by palm trees. But ironically, by the fourth or fifth day, the maintenance crew came to trim the trees. Instant ocean! The location of Rio Mar itself was perfect. It was on an incredible, perfect crescent Caribbean beach. It was also far enough from San Juan to be outside the crowd, yet close enough to get into town and Old San Juan, easily. At the foot of the El Yunque Rainforest--you're a ten-minute drive from the jungle. There were also lots of nice local eateries, as well as fairly good Rio Mar restaurant food. The Northeast Coast of PR was a little overdeveloped, we thought. Yet, we had to admit it was nice to have a Walgreens close by! We could just do with a few less McDonalds, Wendy's restaurants and Shell gas stations! Rio Mar Hotel/Resort was beautiful--lovely pool, beach, interiors. The restaurants were a little pricy for the value, I'd say. They also had great tennis, watersports, and if you're a golfer, you'll be in heaven. They had two great courses that looked mostly empty! Overall, we were really happy with our choice of the RM Villas, and would definitely go back. |

| We had a great vacation. The view from our villa was spectacular. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful pools and the beach. The weather could not have better (warm, with balmy breezes). Seven days was not enough. There was lots to do. We would love to go back. |

| Driving into the resort, we immediately noticed they were doing construction. We were very nervous about what kind of place we were staying at. We were totally surprised. Pulling up, it was totally beautiful. The service was excellent. Our bags were taken up for us. The entire resort was beautiful. I loved the pool. It stretched far, therefore we were not crowded with other patrons. I loved the swim-up bar, too. The spa was wonderful, and the food was excellent. Everyone there was very helpful. I loved my stay. It was a very excellent place to stay. |

| We really liked our accommodations. The villa was clean, and had all of the amenities we needed. We prearranged a cot, and it was there for us and proved to be a great place for our toddler to sleep. As we have seen in other reviews, the AC was very loud as it turned on and off - but that didn't pose a problem for us. We were surprised how quiet it was at this time of year. We shared the pool and beach with no more than three other families at a time...it was like our own resort. That being said, while there was always a restaurant to eat in at the adjacent Wyndam Resort, but the choices were limited on some days. Ocean Villas II was a great place for us to stay. We had a wonderful time, and may come back with more family sometime in the future! |

What a room with a view! Visited: October 2008 |

| Staying at the Luquillo Inn was like staying with family you like. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The location of the Inn was very central to the Northeast Puerto Rico activities – San Juan, Fajardo, El Yunque and the beach! The inn is clean and well maintained. They really care about their property, and it shows. Little amenities like beach towels, snorkeling equipment, and bottled water were available at the front office. Breakfast was freshly made when you arrived in the morning - and fruit, bagels, and pastries were set out to start you off. Luquillo is a small town that looks a little depressed. However, we felt very safe walking around, and we found some great places to eat, and lovely beaches to lounge on. The beach directly in front of the inn was not a good swimming beach. However, a three-block walk up the beach led us to a lovely calm watered beach that was perfect for swimming and play. The view from the room was just as shown on the web site. It was divine and tranquil. We also did the Bio bay kayak tour that was suggested on the Inn’s web site, and had a great experience with a safe, knowledgeable tour company. We did, however, need to find our own way to the harbor area for take off. That was a little bit of a challenge, and did not save us that much off the price of the tour. I’d definitely stay at Luquillo Sunrise Beach Inn again. |

This is the best in Luquillo. Visited: August 2008 |

| I love this place. I used to live in Luquillo, and thought about renting out a house on the beach. However, that was before I found out this place just opened. Stay here! You won't be disappointed if you're looking for a place off the beaten path with the feel of a five-star B&B. The staff is five star. The complimentary breakfasts are delicious, and the Kioskos are only a 15 minute walk if you want to experience the ultimate in culinary variety. (I recommend #2 - La Parilla). Luquillo appears to be undergoing a renaissance period at the moment. While it used to be a bit run-down, this B&B and a few other new establishments really lend some good credo to the place. They give you beach chairs and towels to lounge out at La Pared, and there's an outdoor shower for rinsing off at the end of the day. I saw 100 baby leatherback trails going from a tiny hole in the sand into the water in the morning during my run on the beach. I think I missed the exodus by about 15 minutes. You won't get that in San Juan. For anybody unfamiliar with Luquillo, I'd recommend researching it a bit, or asking folks what their impression is of this Puerto Rican town. I love it for what it is, and hope people can accept that it's the best of both worlds. |

| The Luquillo Sunrise Beach Inn is in as many words, unbeatable for the price. We had a spectacular third story, balcony beach-view room with all expected amenities. It was very quiet and peaceful, with an amiable surf-instructor to be found on the beach almost every day! It is a must see! |

| Our stay at Sunrise Inn was incredible. The staff went over and beyond the call of duty to make our time here such a pleasure. We ended up staying here two more nights than we had planned. Our daughter was sick while we were here, and the staff helped us locate a physician and all that we needed to help her recovery. You will not find a better place to stay in Puerto Rico. |

| The villa was absolutely beautiful. The actual villas were much more beautiful than the pictures showed. They were very spacious, secure, and quiet. The resort was a little community in itself. The El Yunque rainforest was about ten minutes from the resort - and a must see. We were very pleased with our stay. |

| This is a great spot not too far from the capital of San Juan. It is also next to Route 3, which gives you access to a lot of other places on the island. El Yunque was wonderful, and I had a great time. The staff was great. For the poster who didn't want to carry their own stuff, then don't go on vacation. It's no one's job to carry your stuff. The parking was a little of a hassle, but its very safe for your vehicle. The satellite needs more channels because there was not much to watch at night when relaxing in the lovely rooms (with great views of the beach). The breakfast was good, and you don't have to eat here if you are diabetic. The local food was great, but I would not go to kiosk #2 because it was ridiculously overpriced. The staff was great, but the guests were horrible. People didn't even say "good morning". I mean, you don't have to make friends, but the guest should all at least say hi to the other guests - no class! I will be back in December or January. I'm building three houses here, and I love this Inn so much I will be staying in it again! |

| Luquillo Sunrise Beach Inn is a quaint little bed and breakfast located in the small town of Luquillo. Luquillo itself is in the early stages of development, and its greatest assets are the beaches out front. Where the hotel is located, there are new businesses developing - including a wonderful restaurant called Guavas! The people of Luquillo are very friendly and helpful, too. The hotel itself is a new hotel with clean rooms and wonderful staff. Management and employees work together wonderfully. Captain Sherry and Demian work together managing the place, and it is very obvious they take much pride in their jobs. I would recommend this hotel anyone! |
