I had a two-night stay here last winter. The location is nice - right on the ocean. However, there is no beach. The ocean literally hits the back wall of the building. The owners live there and try to say they like to interact with their guests. However, they left the keys for us and we never did meet them. In addition, the road past the resort is very narrow, and people drive like it's a four lane road. Be very careful - especially with children. There's no off road parking, just a turn off across the street. The rooms are clean and have full kitchens. They also have nice porches that look right out on the ocean.

This is the best place to stay in Puerto Rico! It is great for weddings or any activity. My brother got married here, and it was a dream wedding experience. It is nice, and very private. The villa is beautiful, and equipped with everything that is top of the line quality-wise. Stu, the owner, is very friendly and cooperative. He provided everything we needed. I loved it, and I want to go back. If you book a night here, you won't regret it.

My dear friends and I rented Villa Playa Maria for one blissful week. Four adults and five children were absolutely happy and content in this specious and clean luxe vacation spot. Steps (literally) from the ocean with a full size pool, this property is a gem. The house was large, with the best of everything - Direct TV, great sound system, outdoor showers and bathrooms, BBQ grill, etc. The house was comfortable from go and so awesome you almost have no reason to leave except to get a great wrap somewhere and catch a great wave. I highly recommend this great place.

We enjoyed it for our family gathering. Visited: July 2008 |

There were approximately 25 of us who gathered at this location for our parents' anniversary. Dad is disabled, and the room they provided was better than expected. They had their own apartment. It was great for the two of them. We were able to wheel him on and about. The door entrance was tight, not in width, but it kept getting caught on the floor. It was to low I guess. They were able to join us in all activities because the apartment was by the pool. Dad played pool and joined the evening events that took place. Mom was able to watch the grandkids small and big enjoy themselves at the bar and had a drink herself. The staff made efforts to assure we had what we needed, and were kind and helpful. The maintenance of the location was not bad. It could be better, but was not bad. The breakfast at the restaurant here was good. However, dining was just okay - nothing to brag about. We would have preferred to go elsewhere for a good and tasteful dinner. Equipment can be rented for rides on ski bikes and things. I personally would go again. Mom, Dad, and the gang really enjoyed it. Thanks Cofresi!

We took our entire family of nine (from ages 80 to 10), and rented the entire villa for a week after Christmas through New years. We have stayed in villas and five-star hotels around the planet, and this was the best time we have had as a group ..ever! The villa/guest quarters (which we also rented) provided great comfort - and let me add - privacy for everyone. The grounds, pool, and house were immaculate and spacious. The views (especially at sunset) were inspiring. There were three great surf breaks, right in the back of the property (novice -expert), a great beach. It was a great little town with fun bars. The property was very kid friendly. Also, there was diving, snorkeling, surf lessons, parasailing, and horseback riding all at our fingertips. Oh, and everything worked, including Internet and satellite TV. It had a great kitchen, pool, and bar. Stuart, the owner/caretaker was a great help and a good guy to boot. I almost hated to write such a good review because now it will be harder to book in the future! We don't normally give tens, but this was a ten.

This resort seemed similar to a Best Western in the states. The casino was like a gas station in Las vegas. In my opinion, there are lots of better places to stay!

During my stay here, everyone treated me with professionalism. They were able to assist me with some problems I encountered (which had nothing to do with the hotel). I owe a special thank you to Yajaira, the manager, and all the staff who assisted us during our vacation. If I return to Puerto Rico, this hotel is my number-one choice.

My friend and I stayed here for a week last June, and I am dying to go back. This bed and breakfast was beautiful, clean and better than what we could have ever expected. It was a block from the beach, but secluded enough to feel as though we were really on a vacation! Marc, the owner, designed all the furniture and paid attention to every last bit of detail. He is a wonderful person, and made us feel as if we were really at home. Also, his breakfast omelettes and crepes were "mmmmmmmm" delicious! I recommend this place to anyone who is going to Rincon!

I recently won an auction for a three-day, and two-night stay at the Mayaguez Resort and Casino and was pleasantly surprised. The accommodations were very nice, clean and tastefully furnished; and the property was well maintained. My only complaint was that the River Pool was still under construction and we were not able to experience it (it was supposed to be completed by January 2007, but it still has a long way to go before construction is complete). I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

The LemonTree is a nice, clean place with wonderful decks right over the ocean. It is very relaxing and peaceful. It is not quite in town, but just a few minutes away.

We love this hotel. The sunsets are amazing here. The hotel staff is wonderful. This was our third trip back. My kids love it here. The rooms are clean and well kept. The breakfast that is included in your stay is a bonus. My husband is a surfer, and it is perfect for a family.

The place to stay in Rincon, Puerto Rico! Visited: April 2006 |

We recently spent eight nights this past Easter at this wonderful location. Six of us stayed in the newly remodeled downstairs, three- bedroom unit, and the other three stayed in the recently remodeled upstairs two-bedroom "owners unit". We were three adults and six 16- and 17-year-olds. This was an outstanding place. It had everything we needed. The outdoor yard was so beautiful, and it included a covered area with a pool table, dart board, and picnic table/Bar-B-Q. It was great for the teens to keep busy at night. Three of the best surfing beaches were accessible by foot just down a path - eliminating always needing a ride and giving the "kids" some independance. The Puntas Bakery was a short walk up the block for snacks and things. Also, the view was incredible - especially from the upper "owners unit". The surfboard racks were a great perk - keeping the space clear. This was our second surfing vacation in Rincon, and we feel that we have found the perfect spot. The owner provided us with the number for Carlos at Rincon Tours. He was great to have to and from the airport when traveling with surfboards - otherwise we never would have been able to transport all of us and the bags in two rental cars. In writing this, my only apprehenshion is that we are telling a great "secret" and we might lose out when we want to go next year!

The El Mirador Guesthouse was exactly what we needed! Perched on the hill overlooking the El Faro lighthouse, El Mirador was an extremely spacious guesthouse with excellent rates. The place was very clean and well maintained - inside and out. Also, the "vibe" was very tropical. Stuart, the owner, took care of everything in a warm and welcoming fashion from start to finish. Every morning, we checked the surf at three different spots from the kitchen and front balcony. At night, we cooked and relaxed in the lush tropical backyard. We hosted a BBQ, played pool, and soaked in the comforts. We highly recommend El Mirador Guesthouse to couples and families alike. We can't wait to go back.
