Stayed in Le Manapany in jan 2004.
4star Luxe its called, No way.
Rooms are old and refurbished a little bit, Website calls for Balinese Style, only some teak details. Stayed in Juniorsuite, large space, room was very clean, but worn out.
The worst thing is the one Restaurant,(not 2 as said) Fellini, its a nightmare. Breakfast poor, service none, Were here at high season and where the only ones at breakfast, a boiled egg 12 euro's extra, but not a smile, asked every day for cutlery or a glass of orange jus, very strange atmosphere. Diner expensive and not special. Had Risotto Seafood 39 euro's
Small disch, tree mussels and thats it.
Bottles of wine ok at least a couple of
hundreds of euro's strange....
Pool old and dirty, Beachfront, snad nice, sea not swimable at all, only rocks. Rooms 3 stars, Rest 2 stars, defintly no 4 stars deluxe. |

We honeymooned in November 00'. We stayed for 8 days...5 of which were in the middle of hurricane Lenny, a catagory 5 hurricane. The staff stayed in control and served meals to our rooms on several occasions. We also ate like Kings & Queens during the hurricane in their dining room....eggs for breakfast abd steak for dinner. Fabulous! Clean and very friendly, the Manopany was "above & beyond" the call of duty. Bravo! ps...spectacular views and equally beautiful beach front. Can't wait to get back..I love St. Barts..also the bartenders were well rounded good people who bent over backward to please.. |

Manapany was really wonderful to discover.
There were definitely Hotels with more luxury and "Pomp", but Manapany had a style that even a discriminating traveler would appreciate.
The location was great overlooking the beach and the rooms were clean with great bathrooms and tubs (if you requested them). The staff was great and I would return - and will - in an instant. |

If you are looking for seclusion, attention to your every need, in a peaceful, paradise setting, Manapany is the place to be. It is a small haven of 46 cottages, all exceptionally clean and all have great views. The staff is a community of people dedicated to your needs, respectful of your privacy, and they recognize their clients as people—not just as hotel guests. Manapany suffered severe damage after the hurricanes and is still in the process of restoring, as well as updating the rooms, but, who stays in the room anyway? |
