It was a beautiful and enjoyable villa, but here are a few warnings! Visited: October 2009 Posted by andearlove We recently returned home from a ten-day stay at La Cocoteraie Villa. The Villa itself was beautiful! There were eight of us who stayed, and the villa was a great size for our party. The pool was outstanding and was also a great size. As for the bedrooms, I would expect a little less than you see in the photos. Also, I would recommend bringing lots of bug spray! They were not completely unbearable, but you definitely couldn`t make it without bug repellant of some sort. The kitchen was also a great size... but extremely hot! There was no air conditioning in the kitchen. Although the air conditioning cooled down the bedrooms, the bathrooms did not cool down at all. The seventh day we were here, a huge storm came through and the entire villa flooded. One of the bedrooms had water rushing completely through it and there were several inches of mucky water in the living area/kitchen. Hopefully, they will fix this problem before anyone else stays here - but beware! We had to be moved to another villa for the last three days of our stay. Also, a quick opinion of Petit Cul De Sac Beach - definitely not one of the nicer beaches on the island. We thought this villa would be great because we could walk to the beach. Unfortunately, we did not want to spend any time at this beach because of the debris washed up and the rocks in the water. We ended up driving to other beaches the entire week.
